Hey everyone,

Anyone already started the process of buying or installing the front runner rack for the LC? I’m looking into this one myself and will share updates if I decide to buy.

Got mine installed over the weekend and took it out for a quick spin. Haven’t tested it with gear on top yet, that’s coming next weekend. Seems strong as hell and I’m very happy with it so far. I was expecting some bad wind noise but it’s not too loud at all. Will need some more miles to get a feel for it, but overall I think it’s the best one out there for me.

Beautiful pictures. That rack looks much better than the renders on their web page.

Looks great! I like the long rack. What size tires? Lifted?

Have you had a chance to drive it at highway speeds with gear on top? Curious about wind noise without a fairing and with gear on top.

Not yet. It has a small fairing that aims downward. I haven’t experimented with its location. It’s made up of two halves that run in the t channel underneath the rack.

looks amazing. just took delivery of the same color and going to shamelessly copy you exactly :) well done. I don't totally love the look of this roof rack but i dont want to wait for baja and the others to come out with theirs...anyway functionality is the main priority. I'm so stoked that toyota finally brought back a true sport UTILITY Land Cruiser instead of trying to make it like a range rover.

Thanks! I agree. The more time I spend with it the more I appreciate it. I thought I might miss some of the niceties of the higher trim models but the 1958 has everything I need. No regrets. Hoping to eventually explore a SDM upgrade down the road, as a nice-to-have.

If you have any questions on install shoot me a message. The front support brackets stamped L and R were stamped incorrect on mine. They need to point forward so L needs to be on the R (passenger side). Other than that the install was straightforward.

I think you’ll love the rig and the rack. We’ve been hitting a lot of rocky rough roads and the suspension is very good. Need to take it on Imogene soon to test it out a bit more.
