What is the function of the drive mode button, not the knob, in the 1958? I don't know if it's the same deal in other trims.
When I push it, nothing seems to happen.
I held it for 3 seconds and it seemed like it turned off the PDA but I could be way off here.

I have a premie and wondering the same thing. I’m pretty sure it turned off mts when I pressed it while mts was engaged. Maybe there’s an explanation in the manual? Doesn’t seem to do anything for the eco/normal/sport drive mode.

It's all in the manual.......

When the "Drive Mode" is pressed/lit, rotating it switches between:
Eco
Normal
Sport.

When the "MTS" (Multi-terrain Select) is pressed/lit and 4H or 4Lo is selected, rotating switches between
MTS/4Lo:
AUTO – All road conditions
SAND - Sandy roads
MUD - Muddy roads
ROCK - Rocky terrain

MTS/4H;
AUTO - All road conditions
DIRT – Dirt roads
SAND - Sandy roads
MUD - Muddy roads
DEEP SNOW – Deep snow roads

When the "DAC/CRAW is pressed/lit, rotating switches between
Lo - Suitable for driving on rocky roads or decline
Lo-Mid - Suitable for driving on rocky roads, decline or bumpy incline
Mid - Suitable for driving on bumpy inclines
Mid-Hi - Suitable for driving on bumpy inclines, debris roads, snow-covered roads, muddy roads, gravel roads and grass roads
Hi - Suitable for driving on bumpy inclines, debris roads, snow-covered roads, muddy roads, gravel roads and grass roads

Appreciate the post EOD. I feel like this is explaining the knob rotating (mode select) not the drive mode button itself. Am I missing something ?

So one of the three vertical buttons (well kinda vertical) must be engaged/pushed, once a button is pressed the rotary knob is how you select the feature/mode within that subset.

The "Drive Mode" button is just selecting that subset (Eco, Normal, Sport).

So for us 1958 owners, the button is really just relevant when switching to / from downhill assist & crawl control since we don’t have MTS.

You guys rock, on and off road. These answers connect the dots. I've yet to use the DAC but that day will come.
Now if Jerry would sunset the Dak, the world would be a better place.
