Updates!!

Our parking mode power adapter is now known as Dongar PRO. After 8+ design revisions we're ~1 mo from launch! First injection molding trials have commenced!

The first SKU Dongar PMA-01 is meant specifically for Toyota/Lexus and includes three different wiring harnesses. Compatible with all new Land Cruiser J250, Tacoma, Tundra, Sienna, Sequoia, 4Runners, GX550 using the factory OEM preinstalled dashcam connector in the domelight! It's also actually compatible with 33 submodels of Toyota and Lexus, e.g. all mid-tier and up vehicles (e.g. almost all Lexus and most Toyotas XLE, XSE, TRD, Limited, Platinum, Nightshade or LE/SR5 if equipped with premium or tech packages as far back as MY2014.)

Launch deal coming soon!

First videos dropping! This demonstrates on a Sequoia:

Just got my Dongar Pro and popped it in. Fast shipping definitely appreciated! Haven't tested it beyond the driveway yet, but I will say that that 3-position mode switch is hard to operate. The extremes of "Ignition" and "timed" are manageable, but the middle "infinite" position is very hard to hit. Luckily, that's going to be my least-used mode but just in case anyone else is interested and would be affected by that, this is your warning.

@b00st3d, the kit includes both the 5-pin (oem dashcam connector under the map light) as well as the 10-pi (tapping to rearview mirror). The kit was designed to accomodate as many Toyota/Lexus as possible but only the newest trucks have the 5-pin connector preinstalled so far.

I would probably still recommend the 5-pin connector because dealers have less ammo to gaslight you in case something goes wrong. I'm not saying this is likely but the new Grand Highlander has a lot of factory issues with their blindspot monitor system and one dealer blamed a Dongar product for somehow "backfeeding a sensor" (literally impossible)... Toyota ended up issuing a Toyota bulletin because thousands of people were reporting the issue and started a class action lawsuit.

The 5-pin connector is on it's own fuse. The OEM dashcam for Prius and other models use the 10-pin mirror connector so you can be assured that it's validated even by Toyota.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll see what we can do about it. FYI Land Cruiser is actually one of the best vehicles to use continuous power mode because (unlike my gas-only '24 Taco) the huge 288V traction battery starts the drivetrain up and tops the 12V battery, so a 'low' 12V battery is way less likely to leave you stranded!

Just an FYI -- unfortunately a number of people here have had issues with the 12V battery getting too low. Something about keeping it charged isn't working as expected.

Are you referring to the Dongar productโ€™s low vragr protection or the LCโ€™s inverter / charger? Would love to know love about it.

Not a Dongar issue, a Land Cruiser issue. It seems to be possible to drain the 12V battery maybe a little too easily? FWIW I have a plug in hybrid Volvo that suffers from the same weakness. All that battery onboard and yet the 12V battery runs all the accessories and can go dead.

So does this work with the digital rear view mirror?
That what he referenced in his video. For me the digital mirror makes me feel like I need new glasses. Don't use it unless the dog is blocking my view sitting in the middle of the rear seat.

Installed the Dongar Pro today.
I wanted to conceal all the wires but still have access to the switch so I did some cutting and mounted it inside the mirror trim. Works great and made the camera tap a breeze!

Looks really nice, Iโ€™m about to install a Dongar pro myself, did you use 5pin OEM connector or the 10pin via review mirror?

I used the 5-pin under the overhead console. I started behind the mirror but did not see any available harness. The overhead dome had an unused 5-pin taped up by factory visible from the drivers seat.
It was very easy to run the cable to the mirror above the roof lining
