Does it matter who mount/balance aftermarket wheels/tires? Alignment?

For my previous Rav4 Hybrid I've always used Firestone for my offroad tires and aftermarket wheels installation, balance and alignment. It has always worked out great. Just wondering if these "REAL" offroad vehicles are any different? Especially if you are going for 33/34/35 offroad tires with more aggressive offset aftermarket wheels? Are the alignment methods any different if you go to a "Off-Road Specialist" independent shop?
