Coolbox Lid Crack

I think I cracked a piece of plastic inside of the coolbox lid when I leaned on it a certain way (sharp elbows). Now it makes a cracking sound when I put weight on it for the first time in the morning. I can't see anything visually, so it must be on the inside of the lid covered by the leather top (LC FE).

@EOD Guy -- do you by any chance have any schematics for the lid? I wonder how easy it would be to replace.

This is what I have, looks like 6 bolts hold it on......

Same thing happens with mine. Lean on it a certain way and it cracks and creaks. In my case, I am not sure if anything is broken or if is is just trim pieces clicking against each other when I lean the "right" way...usually from an angle or the side. If I rest my elbow flat on top, no creaking.
