I'm about to take the LC on a multi day beach drive and I wonder what experienced beach drivers do to get the salt and sand off the car after your drive.

Here in snow country car washes have the optional "Underbody Blast" for winter road salt. Do yours offer the same?

Nowhere that I know of in central Texas.

I'm going to Padre Island National Seashore by the golf.

Some folks might know spots around there to get the rig washed right after the drive.

I drive on the beaches in NC fairly often (haven't yet done so in the LC though)

That underbody blast deal at touchless auto-washes isn't going to do a good enough job IMO.

On the way home from a beach trip I find a self-serve auto wash with pressure washers and spray everything, spraying underneath as well as I can.

Once I get home I use my pressure washer and Rhino ramps and spray underneath it well. I use a 45 degree angle tip. Focusing on the frame, and especially any exposed un-coated metal.

I just did this for our vehicles now that winter is pretty much over here in VA.

Toyota finally seems to have learned how to coat frames, but I went through the Gen 2 Tacoma stuff and would rather play it safe.

Up here is the northeast I am familiar with salt unfortunately. I have an attachment for my pressure that is a spray bar on wheels to get the underside real good. Then I do as Highsmith says and get the rest as best I can.

Just spent the week in Corova, NC. Before the trip I put a fresh coat of fluid film. The sand/salt came right off with my pressure washer and about 30 minutes of work. Was not difficult.

Can you elaborate on what fluid film is? Is there a brand and what it is exactly? I also drive the same beaches and need to protect this truck. Thank you!

You should use the spray they use at the salt flats before you do that. Then multiple under car wash runs.
