With the car running, remotely started via the app, is there a trick to establishing the CarPlay connection without shutting off the car, opening and closing the door (which seems to be needed), then restarting the car?

I haven't tried, but it just occurred to me, to go into BT settings on the phone (or maybe the car) and manually select the LC connection.

Yes... inquiring minds want to know if there's a good way to resolve this. I too hit this issue and finally just gave up and restarted the truck.

Settings / Bluetooth & Devices / select desired device / Use for Android Auto

Takes a few seconds, should be the same for Carplay.

yes you are spot on. that's what I have to do on my iPhone when it's not connecting. It's a small hassle but my wife finds great joy in watching me struggle with audio and map app problems as I've been teasing her for 5 years while she struggled with her phone/map connectivity issues in her car.

Thanks, all. Appreciate it.
