Does anyone have a good suggestion on how to take care of the exterior molded plastic around the body of the car? Just received a new black Land Cruiser and want to keep those areas like new.

Been using this for several years. On my Audi's, Jeeps and Subaru's. And now on my LC

I recently went down the rabbit hole a little on this and settled on trying out a ceramic coating (Gtechniq C4 Trim) as hopefully a longer term solution (1-2 years). My understanding with the dressings is they're just temporary and mostly cosmetic – lasting a few days to a week.

Or many months........LOL

I use "Chemical Guys" VRP (Vinyl Rubber Plastic). It was suggested by another forum member, all I can say is, I'll never buy "Armor All" again.
Armor All ruined the entire interior of my first new car purchase, a 1980 Buick Skylark. I’ll NEVER use Armor all again!

I recently bought an electric (plug in) pressure washer from Costco, and they also had Armor All car soap for a ‘foam cannon’, so I bought a big jug (you know,.. Costco size) of it. Seemed to work okay! Do you think it is okay (safe) to use on Miss Daisy?

I researched and bought a bottle of the Chemical Guys VRP per the recommendation. I will give my review back in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the reply’s on different options.

My local shop reccommended Cerakote Trim Coat, and it should last ~200 washes per application. Have it sitting in the garage waiting for the weather to get a bit nicer.

Be careful with that. It specifically says not for new cars.

Cerakote Trim Coat is generally not recommended for brand new car plastic trim. Applying it to new trim can cause issues like white discoloration, cracking, and potential damage due to the product's interaction with the trim's materials and treatments. It's best used on faded or oxidized trim to restore and protect it.

Good to know! I didnt read that part.. just asked the dealer and they said it would be good.
