Took some side by side pictures with Bronco badlands with 35s. The published dimensions suggest that the two trucks are within 4inches of length but I did not realize the spare tire of the Bronco but didn’t realize the spare tire of the Bronco is included in the measurements as well.
For these pictures both trucks are sitting flush at the rear bumper and shows how much longer the LC really is.
Also despite my LC being on 33s and stock suspension they look to be at the same height as well

Had a 2022 Bronco outer banks that was loaded but lost it in a divorce. Nice truck. Pluses were the uplifted switches and the modular bumper you could put aftermarket accessories on easily. Con’s were the stereo sucked and the hardtop was loader inside than the softtop…and that is saying something!

There are a few one-piece aftermarket Bronco hard tops showing up, I haven’t read too much about real world experiences.

They are expensive - like $6,000 - but if they are materially quieter than the factory hard top they would resolve an issue with that truck that is a showstopper to many. I have zero desire to drive up and down I-70 next to semis and F350 pickups in a car that lets in a bunch of road noise.

These photos show how much better the Bronco’s approach angle and ground clearance are though.

Man, I really don’t want to go to 35s, but I’d love this clearance.

This is the main reason for me why a Bronco isn’t on my list. They look cool, but won’t improve highway driving from where I’m at now. It’s too bad Ford doesn’t make a fixed roof full body version to compete.

One is a Ford. The other is a Toyota.

End of comparison, for me.

I will NEVER own another Ford. Ever.
Experiences can vary. I haven’t had what I’d consider a bad Ford yet. But…..
I do admit now shopping in this price class I have much more confidence that Toyota can deliver a quality product that will be worth the money. And, though the Ford dealer has been great, I also have confidence that if things are less than satisfactory, Toyota can & will fix it. Resale value alone seems to show Toyota is a much better ‘investment’.

For years, Ford was in the red. They got a new CFO, and he boasted that he would put Ford in the black, OVERNIGHT. He did this by denying legitimate WARRANTY claims. I bought the 5 year 75,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty back in 2015 when I bought my LWB, Extended Body, tall roof Transit 350 when I bought it new. Since new, the windshield wipers have intermittently NOT worked. Every time I took it to a dealer, they had started to work again. “Sorry, we can’t diagnose whats wrong with them since they are now working” has been the company line since the day I bought it. So I just had to leave them turned on, every time that I turned the engine off. At least then, I would know if they were going to work when I needed them. But even then, they may work when I started the van in the morning, but by mid day, they may not. The ‘bumper to bumper’ warranty also didn’t cover the handle the sliding side cargo door repeatedly falling off. I could go on… FORD, Fix Or Repair Daily. NEVER again.

I went from a 2014 4Runner Trail with 179k miles to a 2022 Bronco, 4dr, Black Diamond, with the hard top. After my first road trip, about 900 miles total, I knew I wanted to get rid of it. The reasons are certainly personal and subjective, but the road noise, could barely have a conversation with my wife, my ears were ringing when I was done driving, and not much room for kids in the back seat where my main complaints. It was cool to rip off the tops in the summer, but in western NY, I only did that a handful of time. Admittedly, I am older 51, and not as open to inconveniences like I was when I was younger. Plus, I have a 92 Defender 90 for when I want to drive a simple off road vehicle. I have had the 24 LC LC P since September and could not be happier.

Agreed, I could not pay down my Ford faster than it depreciated! Back to all Toyota for me. LC premium and a 16 Tacoma. Only things I miss from ford are the larger fuel tank and the auto speed adjustment on cruise control. Otherwise Toyota is so much more solid and refined.

Oh Toyota doesn’t do that? I thought everything functioned like that now. Mind you I shut off auto speed control as I found it annoying. The speed sign recognition was good but when it was wrong, changing cruise set point was annoying.

I admit I’m probably in for a shock when it comes to other car companies tech, or lack thereof, but if my priorities are solidity, quality, refinement, & ultimate value it seems nobody delivers those attributes like Toyota.

My weekly commute is through many small town speed traps and that ford system I know saved many a ticket. I am going to have to become vigilant again on speed. IMHO it’s worth it for the quality of the LC.

Meh it's subjective, Our '22 Bronco Wildtrak SAS trounces our LC off-road, Road noise wise even running KM3's the wife nor i were never bothered by it and that's with trips exceeding 2k miles at a time.
We moved on to a '25 1958 and IMHO its apples to oranges, 2 different use cases with some overlap. We have had the bronco in places we would not even be able to take the LC but the LC will do 80% of what the bronco will and interior and tech seems to be a pretty lateral move with a few differences some better, some worse.

What did you find better/worse with interior/tech? Those are probably my two top priorities.

Will never buy a Ford again. 56 yo -unequivocally no greater worse case ownership experience in this lifetime.

Purchased a new ‘24 Ford Bronco Badlands. Unfortunately, the transmission made a knocking sound/defective within 2 hours driving it off Ford ‘s lot requiring a rebuild then later replacement.

Long story short after 3 dealerships and 4 months unsuccessfully navigating, I learned the hard way: Ford suffocates their customers if there’s major issues like the one I had.

All 3 dealerships stated they need to “‘diagnosis’ but their master techs all backed up months to officially diagnosis to get green light from corporate for a replacement …” Hence, my vehicle sat on 2 dealer lots for a combined 3 months without even getting the official diagnosis for replacement transmission.

So If you have a major issue with a new Ford vehicle, they will force your hand into egregious wait periods and horrible customer service bc their dealerships know how to work lemon laws and purposefully play the customer/monkey in the middle game between them and corporate customer care tactic to make you fold.. Basically, if a dealership doesn’t officially “diagnosis” they can make you wait without your having legal leverage.

After too many futile customer care calls, service dept visits, escalations, letters to ford and legal advice with no end in sight, I indeed folded with no other viable option then having to sell a 64k vehicle at a 10k loss, otherwise suffer further depreciation, loss of use and sleepless nights. Nightmare over— life’s too short.

Went with my 5th Toyota since college an LC LC. I never had a bad experience at Toyota (YTD) and welcome peace of mind.

Depending on the trim of the bronco (mid/high) the mid without the base speakers and with 12in screen is inferior sound wise to the base toyota stereo BUT i greatly prefer Fords sync overall for system usability. I do prefer the B&O sound system in my RR compared to the JBL in the LC we test drove (could be due to smaller cabin and or better DSP).
Other than that they are pretty on par with everything else tech wise.
