I think I failed introduction when I signed up. Lived in Florida for the past 20 years, but from the Midwest. I'm a nurse by trade for the last thirty years, but now I'm fortunate enough to work for the family business.
I've driven the MB E-350 and E-400 Coupe and then an Acura TLX for about 12 years prior to getting this LC 1958. I've had a lot more cars, all different kinds, foreign and US based, but my first car was a Toyota Camry and I loved it just as much as my Acura. I really wanted something I could haul small furniture and thrift stuff in and I didn't want the MDX, (bc I'm not a soccer mom and that's what they remind me of). Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with soccer and there's nothing wrong with moms, but I don't play soccer and I'm not a mom. I immediately think of hauling around smart-ass teenagers squealing and complaining from the passenger seats, and changing the radio to K-Pop.
You get the picture. I just wouldn't have ever gotten that image out of my head. Unfortunately, my Acura has a mysterious leak behind the glove box and no one seems to be able to diagnose it, I figure before the electronics start getting corroded from rust and malfunctioning, AND before these supposed tariffs come into place, I better purchase something new. The 0% interest they offered on the 1958 was also hard to pass up! I thought, what the heck, I'll take a leap and return to Toyota. I went with the LC bc it has such a rich history of being rugged AND classy at the same time.
Also, as a side note, it drives and maneuvers so easily, I guess it's the all wheel drive. (?) It reminds me of the GMC Yukon Denali that I had a lifetime ago. That beast was huge and yet I could maneuver it around in the tightest spots, even cramped parking garages--as long as the mirrors were folded in... Don't ask..
I've already learned several things about the LC on this site and I appreciate all the good info and advice. It's definitely a learning curve (the informatics) compared to what I'm used to, and sitting up above everyone else on the road making me feel like a queen on her throne.
You guys keep posting stuff you know and learn about and I'll keep reading it.
Thanks everyone for your knowledge and witty comments. I laugh at something every time I log on.
Cheers!
