25' LC 250
I'm trying to put together the most comprehensive thread on Block Heater options for our Land Cruiser 250's.

From what I've gathered so far: a Block Heater is not a factory option in the US, but it is available from Toyota in Canada.

The block heater is a "cartridge type" with a small probe that clips into a preexisting hole that is cast into the block, versus a traditional "freeze plug" style, that replaces a freeze plug in the block.

I have obtained the Toyota Factory P/N out of Canada, and I also got ahold of the factory install instructions.

Parts numbers below:

There are several aftermarket options available including Kat's Heaters and Phillips & Temro industries, which I've posted in this thread.

This is the factory option that is available in Canada, but not the US. US dealerships find nothing when they search their databases for this option.

This is a relatively simple install. I have the Factory install documents, which were attached to the first post

As for purchasing, I went thru a Canadian dealer. I'll post my install when the parts arrive.

Another option I found from Phillips & Temro Industries. This is likely identical to the Toyota part... what's unknown is if Toyota Canada's part is 400w or 202w like this one. It's possible that this company manufactures these for Toyota as an aftermarket accessory...

Here is the PDF for a Tacoma and I assume it's similar for the LC.
