For anyone considering a slightly more aggressive fitment without the "Bro truck" look, this is what 33's on +30 18's looks like. I thought I'd share my pics as this was a bit of an agonizing search for me as I'd wanted to:

A) Stick with 18's
B) Keep the weight down (the wheels are posted at ~ 28 lbs. each, tires posted at 43 lbs).
C) Go with a grey/gunmetal/titanium colour as opposed to black (I feel like black wheels disappear on this particular body colour scheme).

My wheels finally arrived from Japan (took 2 months altogether, ordered from Black Hawk), and I had them mounted today. I'm very happy with how it turned out, and I feel I may have hit the sweet spot - at least for me. "Athletic" without being "muscular". (Though beauty's in the eye of the beholder.)

Deets:

  • 18x8.5 +30 offset JAOS/Enkei Tribe Cross in Matte Gunmetal. Hub size is an exact match to the LC.
  • 275/70/18 Toyo Open Country AT3 EV, SL rated
  • No lifts or other mods
  • No rubbing, no problem.
*NB - pics don't really do these tires justice. I'd been looking at these online and was concerned they wouldn't be as aggressive looking as I'd hoped, but they are definitely more aggressive looking in the flesh - I was pleasantly surprised.

All I gotta do now is get rid of those ugly wind fairings in the front.

Looking great!

Let us know how the tires work out for you. I’m still torn between those and the Nitto G3s, which have a bit more testing data available at the moment.

Yah, I was on the fence between those 2 as well.

I'd be interested how they handle corners in the rain after they wear a bit. I have the Toyo ATIIIs not EV on my Tundra and they suck after worn more than 10% in the rain.

Your goals are exactly what I wanna do too. +30 looks good too. Any reason you didnt go with the methods in titanium? I think those come in a +35 offset? Oh maybe those are 17’s…

looks great! how's the weight of the tire/wheel setup vs stock?

Strange. I had ATII Extremes on my Tundra and they were great.

One other question- i have only seen tribe cross with 45 and 55 offsets. Are the 30’s like a custom order or something?
If you go to Black Hawk, they only show the 45's and 55's on their list, but go to JAOS, get the model # of the 30 option, enter it into the Black Hawk search bar, and voila!

They are IN STOCK. You could probably get 'em in a couple weeks!

According to published spec's, within about a 3 lb difference per corner. Keep in mind these are also a larger tire than stock. Short of going with Bradleys or some other ultra light wheel, this is about as close as you'll likely get.

I think they were 17's. Also, I wanted something different than what everyone else is doing.

Love the stance from the front. I hope to do something similar but use the TRD Pro wheels ...if I can find them. Love how your's turned out.

Might be too early to tell but are you getting more rocks/road debris kicked up with wider stance? Not sure based on your photos but looks like your have a bit of tread outside of your mudflaps/fenders? Thanks!

Yeah too early but I don’t foresee it being an issue. The poke is mostly just sidewall, and my Tundra tires poke
more than these, without the flared fenders.
