Hello Everyone! Kel here from roasting hot San Antonio this fine August 104 degree day. I purchased my black 1958 - it was available at the time and 3 people had looked at it that same day - a month ago and I modified it a bit more to my liking. I added cognac Katskin leather and Nitto tires. I would have lifted it, but I wanted the family to be able to get in using the Predator running boards. I'm also looking to add a dash cam. I’m seeing those of you paying $56+ for the 1958 but the range in San Antonio is 1958=$70k, Land Cruiser=$80k and the FE=$90k. We’re back to the L300 prices here. I have owned four 4Runners over the years and it was time for a change. My sales guy - purchased or leased 27 vehicles including extended family members over the past 15 years, told me that the Land Cruiser is apparently delaying the release of the 6th Gen 4Runner by months - possibly into 2026! I’m very pleased with the 1958 even when it’s jerking out of the driveway when I hit the gas out to the street - I have to get used to the hybrid power. I have a rattle under the hood that I will address with the dealer this Monday along with the installation of the dash cam -it was back ordered- if it’s compatible with the 1958. Only done one 2 hour cruise to Austin- dam traffic - it’s only 75 miles. Plans include testing it out on the back roads of Big Bend National Park at a later date, but this middle aged guy is NOT climbing rocks. LOL. It’s a pleasure to be part of this forum and hear about your experiences with the LC. Wishing everyone a peaceful rest of your Summer.

Hey kell1958! Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the report. Anxious to hear how it performs off-road, but as you, no rock climbing for me!
