Hello All,
I was not able to locate any threads in the forum from someone that has purchased (except for @agjake01 in this thread) a RTT, and if so how the installation went? I'd really appreciate hearing what others purchased, how the installation went , and fit is.
Also, can I install...
FWIW... Not sure how many on the forum have watched "The Car Care Nut" Youtube channel, but the guy is a Toyota/Lexus master mechanic and seems to know what he's doing and have good advice. You can search his channel for "turbo" to hear what he has to say which is basically that you should...
Last month I took a 2K round trip from SoCal to Oregon in my FE towing my motorcyle on a trailer, roughly 1500lb total weight. Tire size is 33" 265/70R18. I averaged 15 mpg. Not complaining about that so much as how often I had to fill up. The ride itself was great and towing the trailer...
I was going to purchase a FJ back in the day but did not specifically because of the tight cab space. The LC is the complete opposite. I am 6'3, 240lb, broad shoulder build, and my LC/FE is very comfortable, very roomy, and a joy to drive on and off road. More so than my 4Runner that I bought...
Yes, that's what I found looking up pricing as well. The $700 was certainly a markup but at least I wasn't subject to an out-and-out dealer markup with nothing to show. Here are a couple pics...
I'm on my 3rd tank and it has increased 1-2 mpg since I drove it off the lot. Maybe start a separate thread discussing mpg given the interest and valuable comments on this topic?
Yes, it's the "view" button below the center touch screen. But, I have to tap it maybe every 10 seconds to get it to go back to the camera view. Which is annoying and distracting while driving.
My LC's window sticker. I received several options (with a decent markup) that I wouldn't have chosen but at least I got something versus a pure price-hike "dealer adjustment" where you get nothing. The one item I did not receive or pay for is the Fusion Security system, so the price was $2995...
Finally have a chance to update this thread... I took a 15 mi and a 3 mi trail the prior weekend in Anza Borrego; each a different type of terrain. Nothing that 4H could not handle but I of course tried out 4L and the various features, all worked fine. My major complaint is with the camera...
The ride quality on road street and freeway is fantastic, smoother and quieter than any of my other vehicles. So good that it is a bit concerning how well it's designed to perform offroad although plenty of Youtube reviews report it does very well. My biggest mental hurdle to get over is that...
Thank You Nuke. I'll make sure to post my first off road experience. On road, it fantastic, nothing like other SUVs I've owned that handle like a truck.
Hello All from San Diego and glad to join the forum. I took ownership of my new FE this week and am looking forward to try it out in our local Anza Borrego Desert this weekend.
