LC250 oil smells like gas during oil change

I just did my 1st oil change at 1962 km (1219 miles) and sent a sample to a lab for analysis. Admittedly, I was curious given the problems all auto manufacturers seem to be having with their engines. I was somewhat surprised at the results of the analysis - here's the summary of the various...

    Only getting 17mpg

I have to agree with you that city driving, unless you start from a stop painfully slow the electric motor never kicks in & if you can make it kick in it only just barely moves it and then the engine takes over - which is completely different to the Highlander. Yes - the LC seems to run for...

    Only getting 17mpg

I picked up my LC at the dealer with 4km on it and a full tank. As I drove off the lot to the first intersection ( a distance of about 2km) it read 19.5L/100km - It dropped steadily for the next 60km to 15L/100 and seemed to plateau there for about 300km & then started to very slowly get better...

    Only getting 17mpg

I have a 1958, now with 3456 kms on it. Totally stock but I will note that the Canadian version unlike noted above, comes with a steel skid plate. total fuel consumption since new gives me an average of 10.1L/100km (23.3mpg). My best has been 7.2L/100 (32.7mpg/ US gallon))where I babied it for...

    Weatherproof mat for rear compartment?

My 1958 (Canadian version) came with rubber all-weather floor and cargo mats plus a carpet for the cargo (which I haven't opened)

    Only getting 17mpg

1958 Land cruiser (no mods) total average fuel consumption since I picked it up at the dealer has 9.6 L/100km over a distance of 1241 km (91 octane) which is 24.5 MPG - driving was done taking it easy on the first approx 530 km in city & rural traffic followed by a mix of highway at no more...

How do you plan to use your LC?

Currently own a 2022 Tacoma & moving to a LC 1958. If it comes in time I'll be pulling my E-19 Escape trailer from Eastern Ontario over the north shore of Lake Superior and west to the Canadian badlands then south to US badlands and back home - Estimated distance for this trip is about 11,000km...

Lineup of all Land Cruiser Colors

Canadians have a choice of Brown Sugar Metallic, Black or White for the 1958 version, but my dealer couldn't show me what the Brown Sugar Metallic would actually look like. As I don't like white or black I defaulted to Brown Sugar Metallic on my order - just hope it looks ok when it arrives...

Land Cruiser Road tests - what questions u want answers for?

I remember reading on an earlier review there was a clearance issue on the LC inserting and removing the hitch pin from the receiver - I haven't seen any comments since this - Most interested in a review that looks at trailering with a reasonably heavy travel trailer - i.e. 4500-5000 pounds...

    When will LC250 arrive Canada

My dealer indicated he'll be surprised if the 1958 makes it to the dealership by end of June. Best guess now is end July. Toyota.ca has only just gotten the LC on the specs & price on the website last week. Canadians take note that the 1958 appears to be stripped of skid plates for the Canadian...
