My Raptor gets almost 600 miles per tank when on a road trip (even though it's rated at 14/18, I get 17.5/20-22...probably because I drive like a grandpa most of the time)...And it's on 35's! I got a powerboost as a loaner once. Wow. That thing was getting 26 mpg! Crazy.
It's probably going to have a lot to do with individual driving habits. If I drive my Raptor like a grandpa, I'll get 18-19mpg in mixed driving and 22 on the highway. If I drive it like I stole it, I'll get closer to 16 lol.
That statement isn't exactly talking about form over function. Your comment was almost verbatim what the guys on the Raptor forum would tell anyone who asked about gas mileage. You only left out "buy a Prius".
Now that being said, I did say some trolling comments were intentional and some were...
There's always someone who intentionally or unintentionally trolls because they can't wrap their head around the fact that some people want certain info about a new vehicle that they themselves don't find necessary or important.
I'm not looking to buy the fastest vehicle. I was merely curious as to how fast it was 0-60. We have all sorts of speeds now. Raptor=5.2s with 35's, XC60=~6s, Tacoma=7.6s (feels slower tho), Crosstrek=probably about a day. The 68 Camaro is the slowest, but that's because it's in pieces lol...
I don't jump sand dunes, yet I own a Raptor. We buy what we want to drive, and that goes for everyone on the forum. I appreciate the input, but I don't like the Mazdas and we like what we like. We don't have to overland a Land Cruiser if we buy it. I'm sure it will be very content to go from...
Thank you fhb.
LC-120, I appreciate your input, but we like the looks of the Land Cruiser and not the Grand Highlander. The cars we are looking at are the LC (the FE I'm signed up for should be in soon), the GX550 and the '25 BMW X3 (I know, it's really a different class of vehicle, but...
All I saw were the SUV's creeping along dirt roads.
This is going to be my wife's ride, so I'm looking at road manners etc. She'll never take it off road.
TYVM. I thought I saw a similar number to that from one of the reviews from England, but that was a different motor than what we are getting. It's a bigger vehicle but has pretty good HP/Tq numbers.
The CL ad doesn't say it is a dealer. It could be an individual who has first dibs at one of the dealers and is planning on trying to flip it and make a profit after he buys it. FWIW.
Got on the list recently for a LC, and also on the list for a GX550. These are the best looking vehicles I've seen in a long time. This one will be for the wife though. I've owned several Toyotas through the years and I have a 19 Taco TRD Offroad that my youngest drives currently. Excited to...
