Dongar PRO - Dash Cam Parking Mode Adapter UPDATES!

I used the 5-pin under the overhead console. I started behind the mirror but did not see any available harness. The overhead dome had an unused 5-pin taped up by factory visible from the drivers seat. It was very easy to run the cable to the mirror above the roof lining

Dongar PRO - Dash Cam Parking Mode Adapter UPDATES!

Installed the Dongar Pro today. I wanted to conceal all the wires but still have access to the switch so I did some cutting and mounted it inside the mirror trim. Works great and made the camera tap a breeze!

I wanted to make use of the switch panel above the center console, so I integrated my favorite EDC, the Olight Baton flashlight. The case has a built in battery so it continues to charge when vehicle is off. A little tacky, but I love it I left the magnetic lid on to keep dust/dirt out, but I...

Dash camera installed. I purchased the Dongar Pro for easy tapping and configuring when power is provided to camera. I highly recommend!: Dongar PRO Parking Mode Adapter The most difficult part was removing the overhead console to access the spare harness. I had to, very carefully, use a...

First off....figuring out where to put my sunglasses! Shout out to Primo Workz... the armrest is a big improvement. I used some 3M (or maybe Velcro, cant remember) to attach my sunglass sleeve hidden along the back. Keeps them clean and easily accessible. Sunglasses are Ombraz in case anyone...

    Tapping power from USB-C harness?

Got impatient waiting on fuse taps to arrive, so I went ahead and pulled the dash apart and tapped into the USB harness wire. I am not 100% sure it is the right wireā€¦.but it tested at 12v with ignition on and thatā€™s what I needed so it works for me.

@ Dongar This is great info, thank you very much! Seems like we have some good options

    Tapping power from USB-C harness?

Thatā€™s the plan then! Especially after seeing the tiny fuse box on passenger sideā€¦donā€™t think a tap will work. Will refer to your build

    Tapping power from USB-C harness?

Perfect! Interior fuse panel it is - looks close enough to where it wonā€™t be a pain running a cable. Thank you!

    Tapping power from USB-C harness?

Hoping someone with experience in this sort of thing can chime inā€¦. I need a usb-c cable on the back side of this switch panel to charge a device out of sight (charge only, no data). I am trying to avoid a fuse tap since the only fuse panel I can find is in the engine bay (side questionā€¦is...

    Car Camping Solution

I originally posted this in the wrong thread so I deleted itā€¦. I made my own ā€œBam-Bedsā€ style platform. Pretty happy with how it turned out especially since I used scrapped plywood flooring and have almost no carpentry skills. Now I just leave the lids off the 3 storage bins and have enough...

    Weird Gauge Issue

Hmm mine had a similar issue where it would prompt ā€œWindow Openā€ every time I started it up (all windows were closed. Had to hit OK every time until it eventually went away after a few trips. I may have messed around with the window switches to get it to go away but I donā€™t recall for sure
