Our new FE is exceptionally quiet. Almost silent. No road or wind noise, and the engine noise isn't noticeable except under full/hard acceleration. Much quieter than the 2022 4Runner Limited we traded in. These noise complaints make me wonder if the First Edition has more sound deadening...

Agree that the LC doesn't work like that. If you're sensitive to slight bumps, you can actually feel the gas engine kick in as soon as the LC starts moving from a dead stop. You can really feel the gas engine shutting off as you almost come to a dead stop--kind of a bump.
We have the JBL and while it's not as good as the Mark Levinson systems in Lexus vehicles, we're happy enough to not change anything. Bass response is sure lacking though.
