Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

I like replacing the drain plug with a valve, which make this impossible for me (posted about the valve somewhere above in this thread I think), but the idea is a good one. In the past with my bikes, I've just put a magnet on the oil filter to do this job. something like this would work. I...

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

personally, I wouldn't. the risk of leaving a small amount of debris in the residual oil is likely far lower than introducing something with the flush....whatever that is. I'm not commenting on any product in particular. Maybe there's a spectacular flushing product out there.....I don't know...

    Added a Yeti...

Hey Uncle_Spike.......I was looking at these in the store after reading your thread. They seem really durable, but noticed that it's sealing mechanism takes a little more effort to open than say......a paper bag. Do they stay stuck to the carpet pretty well when you go in and out of them...

LCLC and Premium package additions to Safety Sense 3.0 vs. 1958

I'm thinking you must mean First Edition here, not Premium Package. FE gets a roof rack standard (I believe). LCLC gets roof rails standard. Those are both options on the 1958. The Premium Package is only a thing for the Base/LCLC and doesn't include anything related to roof storage. But I...

LCLC and Premium package additions to Safety Sense 3.0 vs. 1958

if PP means Premium Package....I don't think that's right. Roof rails only with LCLC PP. Crossbars are extra.

Rhino-Rack is coming for the Land Cruiser!

Thanks for the reply.....and engagement with this community. I'm looking for this style, but the shorter length. I'd like to keep it as streamlined as possible to minimize noise and maximize efficiency, and my wife definitely doesn't want anything over the sunroof. You would know better, but...

Rhino-Rack is coming for the Land Cruiser!

Hi Weston............thanks for sharing. It looks great. Can you say whether you'll have a 3/4 option soon? Ours' is not an Overland vehicle and my wife would rather keep it behind the sunroof. Other than that, it's exactly what we want.

    Brakes Squeal

We haven't taken delivery yet so I haven't heard this first hand, but the kind of squealing you all are describing is usually the pads vibrating in the caliper. Has anyone tried putting some damping compound on the back of their pads?

Looking for ideas on how to make my street number more visible at dark...

If it was me, I think I would try to find some thin weather resistant LED strips and run a small wire either down to the power below, or up to a solar panel on that ledge. Run the wire in the motor joint and then add some mortar over the top to conceal.....or maybe some color matched silicone...

    💨 Sold / Gone 🆓SHIPPING🆓SHIPPING🆓 20-Inch Wheels for SALE! 🔥 $600 for 4 🔥

Bump for a really good seller. Went above and beyond to get a shipping quote.. Unfortunately the shipping cost to NY was prohibitive for me so I had to bow out.

    Cooling box

thanks for the insight Pierac. I'm not questioning your bona fides or your commitment to keep innocents safe, it's just that mistakes do happen and if it were me, I would worry about that time I forgot to lock the doors (or sat on the fob) and nosy local kid found there way into your glovebox...

So.... what is a throw away gun? It's a cheap gun that shoots well but you don't mine getting stolen! Okay, I'll bite. Is your throw-away gun really as unsecured as your post makes it sound? I don't want to hijack this thread but I'd like to understand this better as it sounds irresponsible...

💰 Trending Deals 2024 Land Cruiser Popular Accessories - July 2024 Edition

It's maybe premature because they don't list fitment for the Land Cruiser yet, but I'm a big fan of the Fumoto drain valves that replace the plug. I have them on my truck and my MINI and they make oil changes a lot easier. It seems the M12-1.25 is used for the 2.4L Hybrid so I guess that would...

Roof Rack Options and Load Ratings

agreed. that's exactly what I'm looking for. I can't see why it wouldn't fit. Maybe they just haven't gotten their hands on a LC yet to check. I'm tempted to be the guinea pig. How are Victory racks in general? Pretty solid?

Roof Rack Options and Load Ratings

I saw that Wescott had a 3/4 length rack for the older models, but they only list the full length at the moment. I don't think I'll need the full length so I may have to wait. Does anyone have any experience with the Yakima LockNLoad platform? The smaller size might work and they have bars...

    New Owner in Upstate NY

Well....it's my wife's but she doesn't participate in forums so she won't be able to chime in her dissent. Hopefully I'm not jumping the gun in joining since we haven't taken delivery yet. Should arrive any day. It's not likely she'll change her mind though......after the test drive you...
