This is a Kuat NV rack, which tilts back/down to allow for the rear hatch to open, but it is a compromise. They do offer a swing-out base that would fully move the rack out of the way for full access to the rear.

Looking to trade my OEM 20" wheels/tires for a set of 18" wheels/tires. Including spares. Current mileage is about 250, and will be adding 200-500 per week. Located in San Jose area, but open to coordinating a meet within a hundred miles-ish.
