except there actually is a physical back up key in there…
press down on that tiny shiny metal circle pin and you can extract the physical back up key to unlock the driver side door if the smart key battery dies.
it doesn’t come cut, costs extra
Did the dealer quote how much it would cost to cut the physical key?
Seems like it would be cheaper to go to a lock smith that can do it formthst part.

Skipped the premium package to stick with softtex. Minimal care and this stuff stays looking new for a long time.
Went with Cooper Discover Road+Trail AT in the stock size.
This will never go rock climbing and these are more than capable for the no paved roads it’ll go on.

looking under the wipers you can see the elements for wiper deicers, however we don’t have the button to activate them per the manual.
Do they come on when you put on the rear defroster? The manual only mentions dedicated buttons.
