What do you mean 'underpowered'? The non-hybrid Taco makes more power than the outgoing 4.0 in the 5th gen 4Runner, and the 4Runner never seemed to struggle selling with it's dog of a 4.0L v6.

the engine is D4S(it has both direct and port injection) so it will switch between both of them.

Iirc it was only on the 3rd gen eco boosts? Something like 2018 and newer.

From the video it sounds exactly like the waste gate noise that Ford Ecoboost engines make, until the waste gate warms up it rattles a bit. Any evidence to dispute this?

We have the same rack on ours as the FE’s. I was cursing the rack when I was washing and drying the roof! Gasket was replaced under warranty earlier this week. Took them about 4 hours total.

We owned for 4 days when I noticed it. I was getting ready to wash it and seeing where to place the ladder when I saw it. No way it happened in the 4 days we owned it

with ZERO options, the LC trim starts at almost $64k. There are next to none coming with no options.

I see this all the time, and while I feel similar, I think everyone's view is lagging where vehicle prices have gone. Every vehicle from every manufacture feels like it's ~10% overpriced.

Can we get back to discussing any potential differences between the Taco and LC transmissions?

This has been my experience with other Toyota hybrids. After 1k miles they were much more apt to run on the electric motor. I assume it is to assist the break in period on the ICE.

Anyone put the 18" wheels off the GX550 OT on their LC? Can pick up a set for a decent price, curious if anyone else has done it?

I don't see why it would be vin locked to only those with FE's, it's an option on all the other trims.(was factory installed on our LC trim)

Noticed this tonight, the gasket on the sunroof has a tear/hole in it. 333 miles on the odd, back to the dealer it goes for warranty work.

no vehicle(unless it has a motor at the wheel) has regen braking located at the wheel. Regen braking is, as you described, accomplished by the electric motor.

Just took delivery of our first ever Land Cruiser. Land Cruiser trim with Premium package. Pictured with it's roommate, our 2024 4Runner SR5 Premium.

Our's has the same roof rack as the FE's and if both of them are getting installed at the port I don't see how this issue would be limited to just the FE's. Or maybe it's got nothing to do with the roof rack? Either way, I'll report back how ours looks!

Picking up a LC trim Tuesday that has the roof rack on it. I'll be curious to see if these are there on that.
