I’ve recently bought two Toyota’s from two dealers now, including the Land Cruiser snd neither had the memory seat initialized. I spent an hour trying to figure out the first one.
Or drop it in a lake, like I have done. But, I have probably lost more keys than phones in my lifetime.
I like it for starting the AC, but I will be carrying both most of the time.
I just tested it and after remote starting, you basically have to restart after pressing the brake. You do not need the key fob in the vehicle to drive it.
You do have to have the App open on your phone to use the remote start application or unlock the vehicle.
You can't remote start it...
It worked once with the digital key and then stopped working. Once it started and then shut down as described, now it doesn’t work at all. Not sure what is happening.
I also disarmed the rear braking and audio alarms. I still get the visual red lights when backing up. However, for a 1,000 mile trip last weekend, I removed my Kuat bike rack (with no bikes installed) and went from 18.5 mph to 21.5 mph. I plan to switch to a 1UP aluminum rack.
