Ah - I’ll still check, but they’ve changed them over the last two years. Mine are silver metal on both ends, and I don’t think any plastic to file down. :(
Yeah, I had to tell the dealer there was a smaller one somewhere in the new car. It’s much better than the standard one. I have the Toyota plug for it from a previous car.
I used the hitch pin that came standard for a 2 inch hitch for what was then (2 years ago) the Super Duty rack (evidently now that’s the Heavy Duty, and they’ve got a new Super Duty rack). Their “long” wheel lock is what I’m using as the hitch pin now - they don’t give a size for it. I called...
Hmm, I’ll have to take a look at that and see - I don’t remember any plastic on the inner part that could be trimmed. The short pins are essentially useless with the LC - I needed the longer ones to use the pins as wheel locks on the OneUp rack itself because the short pins were too short for...
I use the two-bike OneUp one, and it fits fine - but if you use their locks on the hitch, you need to use the long ones. The short ones that fit on my last car (Highlander) are just a little too short on the LC hitch.
Also - OneUp has a tail light attachment that plugs in to the wire harness...
The 7 pin to 4 pin adapter from Amazon does NOT help this. I tried today, and tow haul button didn’t work - still had to turn off the parking sensor to avoid the auto-braking.
You’d think… but I just tried that this weekend and that didn’t work for me - I had to manually disable multiple sensors/options, and will try to figure out which one(s) exactly clear the beeping. The parking button on the left side of the steering wheel seems to be the main one that stops breaking.
I got covers for the bottom of the rear of the front seats to prevent foot marks on the fiber. They had black, carbon fiber, and silver. I’ll post after I get them for look and fit.

The genuine all weather (rubber) one (PT908-60245-20) has an MRSP of $130. It’s going for $144.83 on Amazon right now. Check your local dealers first - mine was running a discount of $22, so $108 + local tax and free local shipping. Your mileage may vary on the local dealer discount…
I just know that the Honda Accord I had before the accident would have been flattened or totally crumpled, me along with it. I only had the first 4Runner about 3 weeks before the accident… I was very lucky!
I was stopped at a red light with many cars in front of me. A dump truck loaded with gravel hit me at around 60mph (he didn’t hit brakes until after he hit me). Totaled my 4Runner and 3 cars in front of me. His front bumper was about 3-4 feet behind my head (in place of the rear seats). I had...
Hi all - thanks to the admin(s) for running the site and letting me join.
I’m a mid-lifer whose “dream car” has always been a Land Cruiser. I’ve never owned one, but after a 2003 4Runner saved my life in 2006, and my replacement 2004 4Runner helped fill the gap, I’ve still yearned for the Land...
