The bloated-looking new 4Runner Pro was exactly the model I was thinking of, the giant ‘TOYOTA’ on the passenger side dash is especially horrendous.
I get the feeling a lot of LC owners are probably a little older and more reserved than the intended audience for those trim packages
I really hope this doesn’t become a thing for the 250. I feel the TRD packages should be left to the North American built body on frame vehicles.
I don’t like how (especially the TRD Pro) they’ve gone nuts with plastering badges and branding everywhere on the interior; it just looks so tacky...
My Canadian spec 250 LCLC was a canceled order that came with the window vents/visors (along with illuminated door sills, all weather mats and rock rails). I Love the look and it’s great if you want to crack the window when it’s raining!
I’m surprised by the amount of Heritge Blue cruisers out there! I’ve only seen one other so far.
Side note, I got my user name from something that was scrawled on the bag my carpeted floor mats were in 😆
Seems most FE builds are from the Tahara plant (VIN will have R5 in the number). Anyone have Tahara-built 1958, LC or Premium trim?
Inversely, are there any Hino First Editions out there (RK VIN)?
Edit: I'm an RK Standard Trim
I'm in Edmonton and picked my LC Standard Trim (Heritage Blue) on September 4 for MSRP. I agree, there are a lot of 1958's out there, but there are some standard/premium trim at dealerships in my area if their websites are to believed. Can't comment about markups though; there shouldn't be any...
I'm in western Canada and just finished looking up dealers within a 3-4 hour drive. If their websites are to be believed, at least 6 dealers have multiple units available. Must be a regional thing?
