Looks awesome! I’m considering the exact same tires for similar all-weather 4-season mountain adventures (Idaho instead of Colorado). Really glad to hear your MPG is still solid.
How’s the road noise?
I expect the AT3 in 275/70/18 size will be fine at full articulation, but have you pushed...
I have done no research yet, but I was expecting to be able to pick up a 120V inflator to plug into the rear 2400W inverter. Does that not exist in a portable size?
Is the skid plate two separate pieces - one piece “front” which you removed here, and one in the middle covering transmission/transfer case? And are all the pieces the same material/thickness?
My local dealership is generally below MSRP. I was guaranteed MSRP when I put down my deposit. But now that the hype has cooled off a bit, I might try to work them down a bit on the day of the sale when they force me to sit through all the lectures from finance, warranty, service, insurance...
I would imagine it is spring loaded (that's how my Rav4's cargo cover is) so you just compress it to fit in those holes. I can't imagine it needs anything else but I could be wrong?
I'll ask my local dealer to look into it and report back!
Things in Canada seem to be lagging behind the US by a month or two maybe?
I was offered a non-premium LC trim in Meteor Shower in early May. I declined that because I wanted blue or yellow. Two weeks later they offered me a blue non-premium LC. Still in build phase, and scheduled for...
Not mine (waiting for Blue LC trim) - but here's a meteor shower FE at my local dealer. This one is already spoken for (they opened it for me, but politely requested I didn't get in it)
Has anyone taken a look under an 1958 vs FE yet to determine if there is more to the "Upgrade" than the word TOYOTA?
I noticed it is now available as a $450 add-on in the configurator:
Cool, thanks! That all makes sense. I certainly understand it would be a huge difference going from something like 32” to 35”, but I still have my doubts about if I’d actually be able to tell any difference going from 32.9” to 33.4” on otherwise the same tire, aside from the MPG hit 🥲
I’ll...
Honest question from someone who has never upgraded AT tires (I did have a van that came with KO2s but never gave any thought to their size) -
What are the practical advantages folks see in sizing up from 265/70/18 to 275/70/18? For hypothetical purposes, let's say we're choosing only between...
Last year we sold our camper van with the plan on replacing it with a 4Runner once they came out with new hybrid models. I always loved the FJ cruiser, but that just wasn't practical with a family. I started hearing about "a new Land Cruiser" last summer and how it might be "like an FJ and a...
Spec sheet from my incoming LC trim (non premium) shows "Running Boards" in the exterior section. On the toyota.com builder, it does visually show the running board on any LC trim, although I don't see it called out in the specs aside from the illuminated running board as part of the premium...
Trail Dust looks so good in the sun! It's a bit of a chameleon though, some of the pictures seem a bit more drab and muted like a sand/pale gold. Personally I'm all in on the very yellow mustardy look. Can't wait to see one in person.
Of course! I was just trying to give context to your previous message of when and why carpet can be preferable. Luckily this is one of those things that are very easy to adjust to your needs.
That really depends on what you are cleaning - For general loose dirt and dust, carpet mats can be vacuumed in place very quickly, and if you store a vacuum in your garage or nearby this is very fast and easy. I think anyone with small kids with car seats can relate to this. Rubber mats really...
