Wasn't sure if it was directed my way since nothing above me seemed triggering, but I must have missed the past posts. Certainly didn't mean to be 'condescending', but when I looked at the differences I couldn't find where ~$5k+ went. I know that Toyota has been updating their build site, so...
I'd say the same as the 4Runner since they have identical wheelbases, but I wouldn't assume that Tundra/Sequoia suspension will just bolt right in. I assume that 4Runner suspension numbers will be identical (e.g. parts interchangeable).
Ah, gotcha, so really no different than any other car with crossbars. I only use touchless, works fine for the mag chloride and general gunk. It's really the undercarriage wash I care most about in winter.
Is that speaker grille for fake ‘grunting’ sounds like in the new Tacoma? I also read somewhere they were using some kind of noise canceling tech, but haven’t been able to confirm.
Trying to figure out what I'm missing here, but if I go to Toyota's website and configure an 'LC' version to have all the possible options that the FE has as standard, the price of the LC comes out $6k cheaper. So far the only differences I've read about that can't be added are the FE mudflaps...
I had previously read through that thread, but didn't see the answer. Was the answer in the video? Seems people are still waiting for someone to try it. I'm also super-interested in, assuming hybrid battery discharge, how long it would take at idle to charge it back up (I get off-grid a lot).
Yeah, that really bums me out as well, but with all the self-adjusting electronics in these engines these days, I have a hard time believing that you couldn't put mid-grade (or lower) and be fine, especially since the Tacoma and 4Runner use the same engine. Also, the wording in the manual is...
Like for camping, it sure would be nice to tap into the 1.87 kWh battery without having to mess around with making sure the vehicle is in the right mode (i.e. anything other than 'off').
Hopefully someone who has accepted delivery can chime in here.
Hey thanks! I'd actually wait the GX out for whatever hybrid they have in store, wouldn't touch the V6 TT (mileage woes, not scared of recalls). I'm really perplexed by Lexus' decision to produce such an inefficient engine in this day and age, might as well have just kept the V8 in it.
Currently on my second 4Runner (2016 Trail PP w/KDSS) and have been impatiently waiting for the hybrid update for ~4 years, and then... they showed pictures of it. Backtracking now and also considering a GX550 Overtrail. Lots of questions on these new vehicles, so here I am.
