As soon as I put hands on that rack a week or so ago, I knew it was just an OEM poser rack. If only those sides were structural, it would be a usable option (top channels are fine). I immediately had my dealer 'delete' it from the options I want.
I'm going to wait and see if the '25 4Runner TRD skidplate will fit. Word on the Tacoma TRDP/TH is that there is an extra mounting point that the lower trims don't have.
You should read that thread. I'd guess they'll start with failures first, and progress through the higher-miles units, end with the hybrids. Pretty sure they're expecting most to fail, with a current mean at ~30k miles. May even affect most or all 2024 deliveries.
They should have some extra...
I also played the luddite when my wife first got her new RAV4 Prime with all the new whiz-bang features. After about two months some of the features became indispensable, especially on long highway trips. There's a learning curve for most of it, and admittedly some of it is just annoying.
I...
Also came out today they will be replacing Tundra engines, not fixing. It appears they covertly updated the 5/30/24 recall notice after yesterday being outed on Reddit:

The wheelbase of the Tacoma is significantly different, so cannot imagine that would work (though might have proper bolt holes). The '25 4Runner options would likely work, though.
Had no idea the front/rear fairings are plastic, and the rack is much less sturdy than it looks in pictures. All the holes/opening on the side I assumed to be for externally-mounting stuff, but after grabbing and twisting, there's no way it'd carry any weight more than maybe a shovel. Sure looks...
I thought I saw 'heavy duty mudflaps' as an option for the LC LC build. Might want to re-check, as it seems they are constantly updating details and correcting errors.
Sequoia 208.1" long, 79.6" wide, 122" wheelbase
LC 193.8" long, 77.9" wide, 112.2" wheelbase
Don't have turning radius differences, but they are significantly better on the LC, especially for off-road purposes.
I guess I forgot to add that it apparently literally shuts off each hour, requiring you to get into the driver's seat and turn it back on each time. This could be wrong, or the person missed a setting, etc. I hope it's wrong.
I read somewhere that the Tundra system kicks the truck off after on hour, and you keep having to turn it back on. Not sure if true, or if the LC is functionally different. Also very curious for off-grid camping, I’m hoping it works as we’d want (use battery til depleted, engine kicks on to...
Right.
Perhaps I missed any significant difference in the wheels between the FE and the LC trim? Is it just matte black vs. matte grey? Also missed a 'dick' saying it was 'pointless', but it's not like I'm taking notes here...
It's back! No idea WTF you're talking about re: 'insecurity', but clearly you are triggered, so be it.
Leather comes with the Premium package. Your previous comment about 20" wheels doesn't apply, as it is an option.
I just looked again, and the price is still $5645 more for an FE, assuming...
