My old FJ60 had a great flashlight holder. It was always right where your right hand could grab it. Searching around and haven't found a good one for the LC yet. Anyone else like to have a tactical flashlight handy and found a good mount for the LC?
Thanks!
Mike
I have been too busy so just taking it to the Toyota Service center tomorrow. I am at 4500 miles and consistently in the 17 MPG range (40/60 city/HWY).
I rarely notice the hybird system working. There is a ready light but its rare to notice the tach disappear.
I drive like a grandma and...
Toyota needs a suggestion box. Big pop up warming on low fuel with sound would be a great software update. I need to have my LC looked at by the mechanics because I’m only getting 16/17 mpg. That fuel indicator is pretty small and I’m constantly getting down to 10 miles left before I notice...
I drive very mellow in town. I don't accelerate, I ease up to speed. LOL. I do get a bit impatient on the freeway and can push speed.
I do have BFG AT tires that I assume is part of the problem. The dealership told me that still sounded very off so I need to drop it off.
Back to you: that...
My neighbor gave me all kinds of grief for that "old clunker car" I drive after I woke him up at 5am two days in a row backing out of my driveway. I have started backing into the driveway to avoid the squeal in the morning.
I think it was briefly mentioned above but I would make sure to have back up fuel. The fuel tanks are relatively small and - I only get 17 mpg - so the range for me is 265 miles. I would want to have a good back up supply if I was traveling in adverse conditions. Good luck.
Wow, I really need to get my LC to the dealer for an inspection. I am getting 18 highway/14 mpg in town (lots of start/stop). Slightly larger BFG KO2 tires. With the small tank capacity that is not a good formula.
When I put my LC in reverse the side mirrors automatically rotate down so all I can see is the ground. So I have to look over my shoulders. Anyone know how to turn this off? I have been through the settings 10 times and cannot find anything. Thanks in advance!
I live your idea of more fuel pop up warnings. I am only getting about 280 (ish) miles per tank so I will probably try to keep it no less than 1/4 tank on road trips.
I have repeatedly left the fob in the car overnight. Fortunately the app always reminds me with a pop up if the car is unlocked and I lock from the app.
I’m at six tanks of gas and averaging mid 16 mpg. I did put 31 in BFGs on. Drive like a grandma. Going to need to add back up fuel cans if I go on long adventures due to the very short range.
I need to set this up because one of my key fobs died after just a couple weeks. Fortunately I was only stranded at grocery store a short couple miles from home but it would have saved me a bit of a hassle.
I agree. I love having a pristine car but I almost would prefer to buy one with 10k miles and some built in character so I wouldn't try to baby it (like I do).
I took my daughters old Jeep mt biking this weekend so to not load a bunch of guys and gear into my new car. Felt kind of silly...
I am getting a slight helicopter sound when it's cold and at low speeds. Seems to go away after engine warms up. The sound I get is more like "putt putt putt" than a mechanical rattle so my comment might not be relevant here.
Three tanks in and still right around 15-16 mpg. I was in eco mode and trying hard to go easy. Switched to regular mode and didn't seem to change.
But most of my trips are very short. Mostly 2-3 miles each way so I expect to be lower.
Great to hear.
Question if you don't mind: Do you by chance notice what kind of gas mileage you are getting? My first tank was 15 mpg. 1/2 of the miles were short in town trips. 1/2 were freeway. Seemed a bit on the low side.
Enjoy that new LC!
Thanks for posting my photo. I’m pretty happy with the look. A bit stiff on the road but I know they are very capable. They look bigger in person. FYI.
