High test is definitely an east coast term.
Just wait a few weeks to a month and I am sure you will get to see/test drive one unless you have to have a FE.
Congrats on the new purchases. Your dealer should have the info on build completion and shipping date. From that you can triangulate the ship and track from there. Mine is on the second ship.
I was reaching out to dealers for a couple months. A couple weeks ago 3 dealers reached out within an hour as they got their first one allocated. The closest dealer was about $3,500 over msrp but after a good day in the market I said screw it, I want it.
Mine is on a ship to Benicia, California. It left 4 days ago. Since my dealer is 22 miles from the port my expected arrival is April 10 to 17. I agree Toyota marketing has not done well, but just from the limited info available the initial vehicles are likely all sold or dealers are being...
I just heard back from my dealer that my Land Cruiser is on the ship arriving in Benicia, California. That means once it clears customs I should have it quick since my dealer is 22 miles from the port. No more than 4 weeks I expect. I promise to take pics.
One of the dealers who I had spoken to and reached out wanted $95K plus tax and license. I said I had a better offer and they asked what it was in case they wanted to match. I said not to bother since they were a further drive and I was buying from the closest dealer to my house.
Ended up $3,500 over but had a good day in the market. They made it easy. I said before I went in I didn't want any dealer options and not to try and sell me. They also guaranteed it would be locked in a secure area so no one got to climb inside or take it out for a spin.
Hanley Hilltop in Richmond which happened to be the closest one to me. Got a call from a second dealership in the south bay who wanted a stupid amount and I told him I was good.
How about a copy of the MSRP sticker removed from the window with the keys. Not sure a dealership will allow anyone to do that.
For me, anything but a personal picture.
Roseville dealership are scumbags. Marin dealer not much better but they say they charge less than Roseville so expect them at 10k over. I have a couple dealers I am talking to. Congrats on your deal.
