If they will prioritize some markets, these should be North America (for the huge potential volume) or Australia (the biggest Landcruiser fans so far).
But who knows ? Maybe the hybrid system is not ready yet .....
The local dealer said they do not know anything about the presales opening today..... I sent them the link above. ... Only thing they know is that first LC250s for our country will be ready to ship in June and probably delivered in September 2024.
This is the breaking news for Europe:
Customers have first opportunity to place online reservations for the new generation of Toyotaβs legendary Land Cruiser SUV, from December 5
New model takes Land Cruiser back to its origins as a vehicle engineered to take the toughest conditions in its...
"More precisely, Toyota announced it will open pre-sales for the all-new version of the iconic Land Cruiser SUV on December 5 β they are, of course, talking about the J250 variant twinned with the all-new 2024 Lexus GX 550, also known as Prado or 250 across various regions."...
You can use most of the tank. Just refuel completely and drive with that light on up to 230 miles. The sensor will not stop the car.
It's funny that most EVs have more range than your V8
I've seen this before. Full after fill up, then low fuel light when tank is about 1/2 full.
Check how much it costs to replace the sensor. If the cost is too high you can reset the trip odometer when you refuel then drive for max 230 miles.
205 miles with 18 - 19 gal means about 11 mpg.
Did you find any official information regarding the battery and range extender capacity ? Probably you only get these "details" when you order the car .
Maybe the fuel level sensor is not working correctly. On some models is quite complicated and expensive to replace !
What's your engine and average mpg ?
Mild Hybrid is a different system. Small battery and small electric motor.
A new Mild Hybrid model is Mazda CX-60 (a smaller CX-90) 3.3L Inline 6 Diesel.
Battery: 48V 0.33 kWh. I mention this car because it can provide an amazing efficiency. I tested it for about one hour (city and highway)...
I could not find the torque of the hybrid motor. But, 48 hp is not much. Maybe AMD is right in the Sequoia i-Force MAX video: these are not true "hybrids". The hybrid system is there just for increased power and torque. It means you cannot improve efficiency by driving long time on battery.
I think this is a different story. Toyota was the only player 10-15 years ago. Today there are so many companies involved and huge investments in research.
The batteries will be much better in any aspect 10 years from now.
Thank you! I I will. Generally speaking are these V8 automatic transmissions impossible to repair ? Do dealers repair transmissions ? i assume there are specialized workshops. But probably not easy to find a good one.
Guys, please help with any info/recommendation. A good friend is US has an issue with the transmission on a 2018 Nissan Titan XD V8 5.6L. Just out of warranty, 20 000 miles !
Nissan dealer wants to replace the transmission for just $7200 π€ π€
Toyota has just one electric model and the volumes are really low. If they have an advantage today, it is on paper.
Tesla must develop battery replacement solutions in short time. Otherwise the EV enthusiasm may just disappear in 2-3 years.
7,435 LB-FT of torque for the ALL Wheel Drive Cybertruck. Over 10,000 LB-FT for the Cyberbeast. Is this real ???

FJ60 was made 40 years ago. Out of question to be an issue with the noise on the LC250. But the Lexus even better, most probably. Luxury is about that, noise, 47 speakers, best leather in the world, massage .....
Will the LC250 get the same hybrid powertrain ?? I see the battery is the same but a 48-horsepower electric motor will not allow you to drive on battery....
I got it now.... there is a base 2.4T 228 HP then an i-Force 2.4T 278 HP and the i-Force Max Hybrid 326 HP. Wow !
LC250 has one single powertrain. And this is good for the owners ! But maybe Tacoma will sell better in US with 27 different combination of trims, cabs, transmissions, beds...
I do not see which one is hybrid ... but I noticed the huge extra cost for the Limited (full time AWD). It is a big deal similar to the Landcruiser vs 4Runner.
