Q&A from Toyota Germany website:
"Can I test drive the new Toyota Land Cruiser?
The new Toyota Land Cruiser will not be available in stores until autumn 2024 and a prior test drive is therefore unfortunately not possible.
What advantage do I have if I register on the waiting list?
Once the...
Which one is the mid-trim LC ? Because the Landcruiser trim is way above a mid level. There are not many features you can add. First Edition is more about image and cosmetics in my opinion. I will definitely go for the base trim with some package if available. I always buy the car, not the...

English translation is available. It looks like they are still checking customer's preferences. I am not sure about the 1000 LCs preordered in 30min....
Do you have a V6 Subaru ? Are you sure ?
Anyhow Landcruiser is a different breed. Simply because it has some extra offroad features by default. Body on frame, rigid axle, rear suspension, differential locks (center and rear), low gear. Some other features are coming on the upper trims.... e.g. SDM
So far most EV buyers did not consider the "fuel efficiency" and the energy cost. But more and more new buyers will do it.
Here is the EPA ratings for the electric trucks. In my opinion all of them are incredibly good. It is hard to believe that Rivian can do 151 Wh/mile. Then 278 Wh/mile for...
163cm should be no problem, even with the higher cargo floor due to the hybrid battery. Anyhow as soon as they get one at the dealership, go there with your gear and check.
A price of 30K is out of question for a new Landcruiser. Maybe he means that instead of bidding for an FE with dealer markup which can land close to 80k it is better to wait for a 1958 with no markup at 55k.
A 40/20/40 bench was available on the existing generation Landcruiser 150. But I did not noticed it in the videos with the new LC250.
But, this is a big car and today skis are shorter. It should fit on the long diagonal of the cargo space.
If the EV is the only car it is an adventure. But I know few people driving their Tesla everyday and anywhere. Probably many Cybertruck owners will do the same.
It's a different country on a different continent.... but this is the first time I see the prices for the new Landcruiser 250.
OMG !
https://fr.toyota.be/customer/reserve/ng-land-cruiser
17% sales tax included, and there is no other fee. But still OMG !
regarding the EPA ratings:
But of course with that amount of power the Cybertruck efficiency can be unlimited poor. I look forward to see a test at 70mph on the highway.
Even with a fully loaded garage it is possible to charge outside, using just an extension cord. At low power during the night. Zero investment, better for the battery lifetime.
I do not know if a flexible tariff is available but anyhow the "fuel" will cost you less than $5 CAD/100km or...
I did not apply US statistics to Canada nor the weather (which in US is so much different from one state to the other).
What percentage of canadians can charge an EV at home ?
Do you know the EV percentage in Norway ?
https://cleantechnica.com/2023/12/05/evs-take-90-6-share-in-norway/
I do not agree, most people live in single family housing or row house or duplex, which means they can charge at home.

Then most families in North America have at least two cars. Long winter is not such a big...
There are two different situations.
During a long winter you will need to make long trips and face tough conditions: freezing temperatures, snow, wind, iceβ¦. If you have a full time AWD would you lock the center differential for a 100 miles trip? Because this is exactly what we get from a...
The LC 250 hybrid will be able to do 25 mpg without any doubt. But the driver is the main issue. Some will get only 20.
Electrified cars push you to drive smoothly. After few years with a hybrid and one year with an EV I get better mpg on my old cars.
But of course, driving mostly on the...
Toyota has a much bigger battery than the RAM etorque thus city driving will provide a better efficiency.
All the available tests and EPA rating for the GrandHighlander 2.4T Hybrid should be very close to the new LC250
26mpg city and 27 highway will be possible.
The 2.4T non-hybrid...
I still did not find if/how much you can drive in EV mode. As I noticed on Ford and other hybrid cars after every trip you can get the stats. E.g:
50 miles
10 miles on EV
25 mpg avg
As you know, driving on EV mode usually is: deceleration, coasting, braking gently, driving at constant speed...
LX is starting at $92k. First edition LC 250 at $82k would be kind of crazy but nobody knows how much the afficionados are ready to pay.
5000 cars.... how many Toyota dealers are in North America ?
