Yeah, they're trying to get there, but they have contractual obligations to distributors and the dealerships. Toyota has a weird sales channel. They sell through distributorships who are essentially middlemen between the OEM and the dealership.
Toyota has the SmartPath and Monogram programs...
This is the exact package I want. I have been going back and forth between the 250 and the GX 550. It really comes down to availability and price points. I think the LC is a better value for money.
The First Edition is only being offered in Trail Dust and Heritage Blue. Those are both 2 tone schemes. The other trims will be available in these two color choices in addition to the other 5 colors Toyota has announced for the LC.
In the SLC reveal the Land Cruiser (mid-tier trim) was shown...

I haven't seen AVS mentioned anywhere either. I think it's only available on the Luxury + Overtrail and Overtrail + trims of the GX 550 where it's specifically listed in the order guide.
I saw a version of that vehicle at my dealership during one of my many repair appointments. They had 1 unit in inventory and I'm told it sold between drop off and pick up of my car.
I really dislike the videos with the automated sounding voiceovers. They're usually not well-researched, and it feels like clickbait. For all the criticism of some of the Youtube crowd a lot of those guys really do the work, they drive the vehicles and they're earnest in their approach.

We lease a '22 EQS and own a '21 GLS 450. The EQS is one of the most impressive driving experiences I've ever had, and the cabin is a thing of beauty. We installed Tesla solar panels and a battery which has really made sense for our family. The car is energy efficient and when things are...
This is what I've been able to learn from the articles, reveal videos and Toyota press releases I've found online.
Toyota is going to produce 5,000 units for North America and 3,000 for Europe. The First Edition trims come in the two tone Heritage Blue and Trail Dust. Toyota is only producing...
Longo Toyota in El Monte California is an MSRP dealership. Their waitlist is closed for the time being, but they're worth a plug because they pride themselves on being straightforward.
I saw this list for MSRP dealerships on the Corolla Forum when I was researching this topic...
Thank you so much for your posting this piece of information. I intend to use this car on easy trails, road trips and beach excursions with my little people, so cargo space is important.
I really hope that hump in the back is a pre-production quirk and not the final product. It's nice to see the air vents in the ceiling. I haven't always been able to see those on the GX 550 videos. The vents aren't a deal breaker for the GX, but that hump on the LC is really not ideal.
The First Editions are only offered in those two colors, but the LC and 1958 will be available in 7 colors. The Trail Dust and the Heritage Blue only come with the grey roof cap as a heritage callback. The GX 550 also has a version of the Overtrail edition that comes in Earth with a black roof...
I spoke with a sales manager at Autonation Toyota today in Southern California. He told me they don't have any insights from Toyota at the moment and he believes they're not getting allocations until Q2 of 2024 which is a lot later than other dealerships I have spoken to. There was no pricing...
Did they give you any indications as to how long the wait might be for delivery? I'm on a list in at Longo Lexus in SoCal where they told me the wait is about a year given their anticipated allocation.
Their Toyota dealership isn't taking any new deposits for the LC. To be honest, I'm just...
Thank you so much for answering. I thought so too, but for some reason the pics from the videos I've seen and the photos on the various forum threads never quite make it look the same.
Does anyone know if the silver they displayed at the world premier is being called something else by Toyota? I really like this color, but it doesn't seem to be on offer in the US.
