I personally don’t notice much of a difference. My lc has leather and the 4Runner softex. Leather maybe not as stiff/hard as softex. It would not be a deciding factor for me in choosing a vehicle.
I’m a hands on type of learner. My suggestion would be to take your owners manual and the better part of a day and head out into snow to practice. Snow is good to experiment with all these bells and whistles cause it provides slip which is more forgiving on drivetrain components. It is suggested...
I got the OEM 18” rims from eBay for $750 off an FE. There was a good deal on eBay I saw last week for OEM 18’s think it was $600. The nokian Hakka is a good winter tire from what I’ve heard but I run blizzaks. I like the look of the OEM 18’s. Everyone on here gets the methods it seems like.
You are probably referring to rim dimensions which won’t matter too much. What is going to matter is tire diameter more than anything. If your winter tire diameter is significantly different than your spare I would suggest that you might want to consider replacing the spare. If it is within an...
I remember when the floor mats on certain Toyotas would get stuck on gas pedals and there were several accidents and maybe even deaths caused by it. The owners manual never told these drivers to put the car in “N” in the event the throttle stayed stuck wide open.
I’m keeping the stock Dunlops on 20’s for the summer until they wear out. I personally will probably not need an aggressive tread. Thankfully the lc is equipped with a great 4wd system. I’ve taken the stock Dunlops in the woods and they have done ok for the terrain that I’ll put a $70k vehicle in.
I have tried it and saw zero results in better mpg. Now I fold them in if someone behind me has their brights on but realistically it was designed to fold in when going through tight trails imho.
I would be curious to know if I would smack a tree if they would fold in on their own?
I would stay away personally. The dealer already chopped it and put cheap aftermarket products on it. It would be hard to sell it to me as a “new” vehicle. Tell them to throw in the OEM wheels and tires in the deal. He must have them somewhere.
I have no sensors in my winter tires but the Land Cruiser picks up the tires I have stored in the basement. When I leave the house it takes about 20 minutes and I get the warning.
