I got 4 with the OEM tires from a friend that works at a dealership. They had a customer upgrade the wheels and tires the day they bought the car and they gave him a credit for his OEM wheels/tores. I bought them at a discount.
I got the 5th matching spare on eBay for $550. Bought a tire for it...
I have a set of these that came on my TRD Pro Tundra, and just bought another set (including a matching spare!) they’re sitting in my garage waiting for the arrival of my LC
If we want to be pedantic, the simple answer is that you don't own it yet. The dealer doesn't own it yet, so they can't legally sell it to you.
I'm willing to bet that your purchase contract has a contingency on the dealer actually receiving the vehicle. Depending on where the vehicle is in...
Stock rock rails don't really work as steps. Westcott designs has a preorder out for their rock sliders with kickouts that will work as steps. They're the only ones that I know of at the moment.
You can also get the predator steps. I have them on my Tundra and my short wife loves them to get in...
The holds at the ports have no effect on production. Toyota is still pumping out LCs at whatever the normal rate is. If they have LCs that are fixed and being released from the ports, that fix has likely already been put in place on the production lines.
Dealer techs are not paid by Toyota or the distributor, they’re paid by the dealership. Asking them to come work at the port is like asking the McDonald’s employees to man the registers at Taco Bell. Same industry but different companies
I did, he found the photos elsewhere and it wasnt his vehicle.
Note that offset is relative to the wheel width, not the vehicle. A +20 offset in an 7.5 inch wheel looks VERY different to a +20 offset in a 9 inch wheel.
Unfortunately, even giving the option to waive future repairs is a whole legal can of worms. No auto mfg would willingly do that lol
Toyota has no obligation to provide transparency into why they're holding vehicles longer than expected. You don't own it yet, so you have no right to know whats...
Like @crw8 says. Toyota just builds the vehicle and sends them to port. Once they're released from port, its up to the distributors and dealers to effectively communicate with the customer if they choose to. Dealers are completely independent of Toyota. Sure, we have some oversight into shady...
Yeah I had a 21 bronco that I waited 18 months for and then sold 6 months later because it’s one of the worst vehicles I’ve ever owned. Quality control issues left and right, and random failures that the dealership couldn’t figure out.
If you want a high demand first year model, you’re gonna...
No idea how hard it might be. @Frustrated in VA might be able to give us some insight into what he wrote, maybe we can all get some cash back after buying our land cruisers!
As for the call center stuff, there’s maybe a handful of large companies that keep call center operations in house. It...
Speaking as a Toyota corp employee, any interaction with the brand engagement center(whether via call or email) is a call center. The majority of the people working with the BEC are contracted through a third party, not Toyota employees. They have scripts to follow to get you to the correct team...
Why would the call center know anything about the production and hold status of a car you haven’t purchased yet? Once the car gets to the port, the distributor is who would have that info, not Toyota.
Even then, they won’t know who the car is reserved for, that’s all done at the dealer level...
For those of yall that have replaced the spare with a larger tire, what sizes are yall able to cram in there? I'm thinking of putting 285/65/18 Wildpeaks in there, on the stock Tundra TRD Pro wheel. Anyone got sizes that are close?
I already have a new set of wheels/tires for my LC - If you want the 20" wheel/tire combo, I could ship them to you for cheap. I don't want them sitting in my garage. I'm expected to get my LC sometime in July
I was in the same boat. Dealer that I'm purchasing from had a heritage blue and Trail dust coming that were identical except color. Ended up going with the Heritage blue, as blue is my favorite color. Trail dust is also a great color, but wife didn't like it as much.
Posted this in another thread as well
There’s no single repair manual, it’s hundreds of different PDFs for different services. I can pull them from TIS for you if there’s a specific one you need in the future.
There’s no single repair manual for the whole vehicle. It’s hundreds of different PDFs for each part. If in the future there’s a specific repair manual you need, I can pull it for you. I work for TMNA so can grab all this fairly easily
