I’m oversimplifying it, but the cameras are linked to some other systems in the vehicle. Trying to tap them or otherwise modify it would cause some issues for linked systems. CANBUS is funky like that.
You only need 4. The spare uses the hole for the center cap to mount to the vehicle, so you couldn’t put the 5th one on the spare even if you wanted to.
Dealers can use techstream to manually update the tire sensor location and it takes about 15 seconds. This procedure in the manual is for owners who want to do the maintenance on their own.
YEah I used the digital key for a day and it worked ok, but i usually have my keys in my pocket anyways, so it doesn't add value for me.
I'm gonna try the sharing key feature this week to see if my wife can start my car without a key using her phone if I share the key to her
Cool part with the app is that you can have it turn on front and rear defrost every time you start the car through the app.
** on the LC. There's only a few vehicles that support climate control in app at the moment
Its much more reliable in the app, and it allows you to set climate control in the app.
Using the keyfob will just set your climate to "AUTO" but its kind of a dumb auto so it won't really cool the car.
It almost sounds like the electric motor is constantly engaged, that’s almost the exact sound I hear when I’m running my traxxas RC car with its electric motors
Since I picked up this Blue LC from another dealer, Toyota Irving has a Heritage Blue LC Premium on the way to the dealer available at MSRP. Ask for Wilma!
I had a 2019 4Runner TRD Pro, the LC is more comfortable and handles better. There’s still some nose dive when braking but not nearly as bad.
Braking performance could be better overall though, but still better than the 4Runner.
Wheels are off the car and ready for their new home, they come with the matching lug nuts as well!
Again, I’d rather not ship but I’m open to making a deal to get these out quickly. I’m moving next month and would rather not take them with me
I got mine at MSRP but the dealer added some extras for free (window tinting, door ding and wheel protection package, extended maintenance up to 4 years). I'm pretty happy with it
Removing the crossbars would help, but the car is shaped like a brick stacked on top of a slightly larger brick. Wind noise is just part of the equation haha
Most toyotas hold a decent chunk as "reserve" that aren't calculated in the total range. My Tundra had 4 gallons reserve. With zero miles left on the range, I would fill up about 28 gallons on a 32 gallon tank.
I know @steveinfrisco is nearby with his FE, perhaps he and I can meet up sometime this weekend to do a comparison between the round and squared headlights.
To bring this back on topic -
I don't see these dips on my rectangular headlights, but I haven't done a ton of night driving just yet so maybe i havent noticed.
