Thanks - they are barely what you would see on a normal options list - which I suppose makes sense with a fully loaded special edition I will probably get the rubber mats but maybe just the mats - seems like they are individually available

That’s interesting I have not been told about any UK options - in fact my dealer said there was only a colour choice for the UK FE and no options Can you send details of the packages and pricing - seems like once again the forum knows more than the dealers

Yes mine has updated this AM after a few minutes of spinning and a reboot Looks very much like we were correct in our thinking - all UK spec LCs manufactured in one batch and all being shipped together to the UK - likely arrival at Royal Portbury Docks around 20-22 Sept If that proves to be...

Found a brilliant post on the GR Yaris forum - it is very long and gives lots of great info on how Toyota ship vehicles The key takeaways for those looking at shipments from Nagoya to Portbury is as follows the ship will have left port 24/48 hrs BEFORE the My Toyota App updates the journey...

My App must have been updating - now shows that it has been build left the Aichi factory and in transit to Portbury which I think is Avonmouth Docks Do you know how we find out which ship the LCs are on

How do you know Dave - I have no updates The App is no longer showing any details of my order - seems to have gone a bit weird - might need to be rebooted Did you hear from dealer - if so will chase him

    Black LC First Edition Availability

Isn’t it 5000 FE globally not in the US in the UK we are calculating around 300 FE but it’s a bit of guess work

    Sold After 38 Days!!??

He seems to dislike the direction of travel of vehicles in 2024 - sadly the regulators are mandated automated “safety” systems - they are not manufacturer driven they are the work of the EU Commission and various US State administrators It’s hardly fair to criticise Toyota for that side of...

The message about the impact of the UKs arbitrary 22% (or24% can’t recall) zero emission mandate kicking in in 2024 and the manufacturer vulnerability to the £15k per vehicle fine could be on the spot (see Harry’s Garage for a good overview of the UK mandate and the right figures) Surely it...

Yes - system has no update and he says he won’t know anything until he knows something and that comes via Toyota UK A very unsatisfactory situation and seems like at least in the UK the App and it’s step by step order tracking is not operative and we will hear our vehicle is ready and won’t get...

I am probably filling a void with too much tyre concern - I have seen the YouTube clips and the thing clearly manages to get through terrain far more challenging than I am likely to take on in the Uk and it is shown to do it on stock tyres so it is really astetics at best I’ll try it as it...

Sorry for me having a conversation with myself on this - I have now found the other US posters images of the 18 inch wheels and tyres he’s selling and when I blow up the image it is the same marking showing Are these really AT “summer” tyres ? Does that just mean in Michelin world they are not...

Mmmmm Are they these Michelin LTX Trail 265/70 R18 116S If so the UK tyre supplier has them marked as “summer” tyres - maybe that is the “s” designation and thy are not the ones fitted on the Uk LC FE

Ok - I have been using General Grabber AT3’s on my L322 which are made by Continental Maybe not that different to the Michelin AT - will take a look

Mmm - not sure that is in keeping with a GBP 75-80k vehicle which is what we are asked to pay for the two versions they are selling here - shows you US guys get a more utilitarian version and better pricing

Back on the tyres - what are you guys planning I have the 18’s of course coming on the UK spec FE and not seen any firm confirmation what tyres they are fitting and whether there are options with dealers to change them Any ideas UK buyers

I understood there were 5k FE models being sold globally The UK spec FE is only sold as a diesel, right hand drive and it’s got 7 seats and a number of other differences to the US/EU specs and to vehicles sold in other markets in ways that won’t be dealer fitted. That is differences in the...

My dealer is checking and will report tomorrow - last time he sent me the screen shot of the main dealer screen Have made clear to him what you guys are reporting about your projected deliveries in Sept/Oct which would suggest that the original statements were in fact accurate (viz : build of...

Counting the days. First Edition on the ship.

Interesting for us UK buyers as this suggests that for Oct 2024 delivery the vehicles would need to be built and on a ship very soon and the suggestions of Sept delivery would suggest the ship is part way across to Europe from Japan already

That was my thinking - Sept/Oct delivery in UK suggested build already and on a ship now or very soon Maybe the dealers system and App are just slow to update - seems a bit daft as I would expect them to want to give more not less info

    Cooling box

That’s fascinating - so if you carry a gun in a vehicle in the US and it’s stolen are there no consequences for you ? In the UK my shotgun certificate needs to be renewed every 5 years and it’s quite closely scrutinised by the police firearms team with a need for references including from my Dr...

That’s a bit of a pain - I see the US cars have Michelin LTX in 265/70 R 18 or at least one car has then as the owner is selling his wheels and tyres

That’s exciting news - does the App show your vehicle as built and in transit - I would assume to meet 9 Sept delivery it must be build and on a ship ? Be great if they have build a decent number of the UK models and they are being shipped together - would be surprised if just one is on the way...

Small missing features which makes the whole experience dull

Mmmm - JLR had terrible issues with gesture tail gates - always remember being on a shoot behind another one and the tailgate opened as he was crossing a stream and guns and all sorts falling out - I won’t miss that feature
