None of the dealers here seem to want to help me buy a LC and i couldnt find any that were taking a customer list up until maybe 8-10 weeks ago. Kind of weird
No need to apologize :). in this specific case I would have been reserving a specific VIN already allocated to the dealer and they gave the specific price. I think some dealers are allowing you to place money to get on an interest list …and others are not. So it just seems to vary by each...
seems to be a mix in Phoenix - at lease one dealer has told me all LC’s coming regardless of trim are $10k markup. A few are selling at SRP…supposedly. i will never pay over srp especially for a Toyota lol. I have a hard time even paying srp…so I will wait till i can get srp. I have a feeling...
Ah - okay good to know. I assumed the deposit for being allocated a "physical" car with a VIN being non-refundable, was normal. Good to know. I'll see if they can make it refundable - because I agree, if I decide for some reason it's not for me, I don't want to lose $500.
What's everyone's thoughts on why they purchased the LC sight unseen? I got a call from a dealer - I have the opportunity to put a deposit for a LC coming in a few months. I'm really interested, but starting to feel wary of spending this much money on a new SUV that I havent been able to test...
I've called 5-6 dealers in the Phoenix area and unfortunately most of them don't seem to care much about tracking customer interest - or maybe the sales persons didn't. A couple dealers said they would add me to a list; I followed up 2-3 weeks later and they never put me on any list so now I'm...
So i got an email from a local dealer here in phoenix area… $7500 in add ons including a full ceramic body coat and a 3m clear bra haha. Theyre charging $2795 just for the clear bra. They wont be getting my business.
Yeah i saw this. Eager to hear what went wrong. Definitely does not bode well for my confidence in any of toyotas newest models like the 4R, taco and LC.
yeah the seats not laying flat is frustrating... I think I'm just going to have to see one in person to judge. Some of the in-person reviews on YouTube of the GX overtrail in Tuscon said the GX has plenty of cargo space (very subjective)... and yes the battery in the LC takes up some space but...
I looked through the specs and toyota is saying the LC 250 has 37.5 cuft of cargo space (I’m assuming this is behind the second row). I’m a bit surprised to find that toyota specs the 4runner’s cargo behind 2nd row at 46 cuft. Does this sound right to folks? I was expecting the LC to have more...

Jalopnik isn't sure if it's real or not... but their last sentence is my favorite: "But remember, don’t indulge this. Don’t even pay a $1 over sticker. Wait, or don’t buy one at all."
Ah I just answered my own question… the press release back in August says LC customers can add a skid plate. I’ll stop using this configurator for now cuz I’m not sure its finished :)
Hey is there no skid plate available on the LC trim? for some reason i was thinking it could be an accessory/addon. I wonder if there will be aftermarket option's…?
Whats everyones thoughts on buying a first generation model from toyota/lexus? Ive always thought you shouldnt do it, and grab a 2nd or 3rd year model after they work out some kinks. The redesigned tundra seems like a good example of kinks in the 2022’s
Very cool the configurator is up. but my first gut reaction was wow. The LC pricing is a bit higher than I was expecting; with premium it's only ~$4k below the GX... wow. Also, you cant get trail dust or heritage blue with the LC + premium package...that's kind of a bummer.
You know what else I dont like about the GX? They dont have hardly any physical buttons. Everything got sucked into that digital screen. Another + for the LC
