There is a small sliding tab on the back of the fob. Slide it and the key can be slid out from the corner where the carrying ring is attached. It’s a flat, square type key.
I got 20” rims and our replacement will be Nokian nAT
https://na.nokiantyres.com/all-terrain-tires/nokian-tyres-outpost-nat/
The tires have an Aramid sidewall like Kevlar. My F250 has Goodyear Kevlar tires and those tires, I feel, have saved me some serious tire damage on Interstate 40. So, I’m...
Like I told my salesman, let’s talk, but if you start a conversation with “markup”, the conversation ends… That caused the salesman to disappear and re-emerge a few minutes later. I purchased at MSRP and with no added dealer crap. I feel like I got a decent deal and they made their profit.
The problem I ran into is that the visors on the LC are kinda thick. I bought a set of sunglass holders off of Amazon and had to return them because the holding clip opening was too small to clip on the visor adequately. Seems most of these clips are made for “thin” visors.
I’m still looking.
I hooked up the BT yesterday and it took about 20 minutes until I got the solid green charged light. A BT under the hood is not very practical.
The 12V plug on the AC control panel at the back seat is not hot when the vehicle is not running.
However, BT does sell a OBD port plug to charge the...
So, I obtained the part numbers for the Round Headight assemblies. These are the headlight fixtures found on the 1958 and FE models. They are upwards of $1000 each. Anyway:
Driver's side: 81185-60N90
Passenger side: 81145-60N90
As usual, please verify before ordering. That's a whole of of...
I also don’t know what a “hitch slider” is. If it some kind of insert, I’ve never seen a vehicle with that accessory. Anyway, the PIO for us was the carpet floor mats and carpet cargo mat. In a box in the back was a set of All Weather mats for the front seat and rear seat. I had to purchase the...
I regularly use a BT on my vehicles. I checked the LC just yesterday and did not see an easy way to use a BT attached under the hood. Maybe a direct battery connection would work? But that means cord through door/window.
We picked up our mid-trim LC today with 20" rims. I pretty much agree with the original poster. I don't have anything bad to say about the vehicle. Is it as fast as an V8 X5, no, but it is just fine for what type of vehicle it is. Regarding the 20" rims, I can honestly say I have no plans to...
I don’t know how much can be changed, but I did run across this recently:

The sticker found usually at the dealers site can be downloaded as you know. But the watermark usually coving the front of the sticker can be removed with Acrobat. I used PDF Expert to remove the watermarks.
So, this is my 2cents:
Your trailer weighs about 5000 pounds. That roughly equates to 500 to 750 pounds of "tongue weight."
You said you had about 1000 pounds in the vehicle.
If that is NOT including fuel, then add approximately 6 pounds per gallon of fuel. The vehicle has about 20 gallons of...
Someone else can comment on this, but I do believe that Toyota sells a transmission shield ? I thought there is a thread about this shield? From what it seemed, it looks like the transmission shield also looks like it covers the catalytic converter? If so, maybe the shield with tamper resistant...
Page 456 in the owners manual seems to suggest that the brake type must be selected first in the settings? That seems to reset the gain to 0, which deactivates the trailer brake control… I don’t know, but maybe a gain of 5 can be set in the settings after setting the brake type and before...
Your trailer AC is probably peaking at about 20amps for 13kbtu. The LC is 2400/120 - good for 20amps. Running a trailer AC, maybe. With the startup load for the AC, I personally think the LC would be overloaded. The worst that may happen is you pop the LC breaker. Then you may need to use an...
SumoSprings looks to have some replacement bumpers. I use these type of bumper on my Superduty (Timbrens) and they work really well for support of heavier loads. Sumo makes them for the LC. I don’t know how these would affect the rear articulation...
In my opinion, the timing chain/belt was installed without the engine cams/crank being lined up correctly. The sprockets should have alignment marks. In my opinion, those marks were out of alignment. I would double check that and make sure those marks are perfectly in alignment.
Hopefully this is not too controversial, but Fram makes a filter that is for the LC. It’s a 4967. I personally wouldn’t use the lower quality 4967 Frams, but the higher quality 4967 seems to get good reviews.
