Has anybody seen any roof ladder solution that wouldn't compromise the cargo window? or at least it can be easily removed (like really really easy) when I want to open up my window?
I love cargo ladder but I havn't seen any proper design so far, including the one from Sequoia. All the designs...
I would think the hybrid system is a well protected closed system. Toyota probably will not allow you to to into it, this is a key component for the power train, unlike the 12V battery
The known power train for this Toyota platform is V4 hybrid, V6, and diesel. If you want to cost down for 4Runner I am not seeing the reason to create a 4Runner specific power train. It will only make the car more expensive to make. So if 4Runner wants to provide a non-hybrid option, turbo V6 is...
J250 is too small for that kind of setup. I was thinking
i would be surprised if Toyota allows you to keep the traction battery on for as long as you want. Once the hybrid battery is completely drained you can’t start your engine and it is usually not an easy repair by the owner
I couldn’t find more information. But turbo v6 should be a natural choice for 4Runner given Lexus GX 550 is using that power train. So I would imagine even for non-hybrid LC it is on the same power train as GX550
If you really hate that hybrid power chain that much, you can wait for 6th gen 4-Runner, and likely without the battery you will have the car cheaper and more space as well (hopefully it comes with Turbo V6). Also when I saw the TRD Pro build I am not sure what is the point to buy a LC anymore.
Thank you. I think I understand how it works pretty well owning a Prius myself for more than 10 years.
i was thinking to keep the power on for car camping. Trying to figure out if I switch off everything except some low power electronics like coolers or small fans, how much fuel or engine time...
Are you sure? By the look of it these cameras are likely smart sensors from their suppliers, which output object data rather than raw pixels/streams. In order to implement a multi-purpose from facing camera you typically need to spawn that single input stream into two and use one for detection...
Does anybody know that if I have the LC parked but not having the engine off, how often will the engine actually turned on and off? (assuming all the accessories is off)
Does anybody know who supplies the FE roof rack to Toyota? It is funny that every solution in the list provides a list of different mounting options for its own roof rack, but Toyota only ship the roof rack "as-is" with no accessories what-so-ever. Why don't they just work with well known third...
I do not have the car yet, been waiting since June. From the photo it looks like all T-slot bar has a standard size bolt insert, but I’ll see when it arrives
I tried to look if anybody provides a side-by-side comparison between the round headlight and rectangle headlight, but so far I couldn’t find it. Funny to say this but that was a bigger part of my preference of FE over LC trim, didn’t quite make sense I know.
Another thing I am debating is...
Just curious, how much is the expectation for a nice set of roof rack, rock slider, and skid plate? May we also guess that the rounded headlight is also slightly more expensive than the LED one on LC trim?
I saw this video on YouTube. The cool part is they actually use stock tire to accomplish the challenges. So literally we don't need these beefy all terrian for LC to be capable. This is pretty cool.....
I gave my dealer a list of 4 cars (LC FE, 2025 Tacoma TRD Pro, 2025 Tundra TRD Pro, 2025 4Runner), asking them to give me an assessment how likely I can get them. I am preparing to wait for another few months, potentially even into next year, for any car in my list to arrive.
My dealer always...
They did said that. My point is not against seller but challenge the application of PPF on display. There are multiple reasons why it doesn't work (well). Just simply a wrong product for the application
Which is the port they hold in WA? I knew the port in Portland is slowly shipping the FE build to the dealers.
By the way I can't get any dealer to accept deposit until April/May this year, as Toyota give them no information at all. This is literally several months after all the YouTuber...
The reason is on the title of this thread. I just don’t understand why FE are shipped everywhere else without any “supply chain issue”, but once they landed in California they don’t get these PIO parts.
The reason I mentioned other expensive vehicles is a sharp contrast of the unsold (non-FE)...
I saw this picture online.... It has an additional volume button and an "IDLE" button in the center console. Also the car seems doesn't come with central diff lock. Is this the European build?
The old land cruiser was sold for only a few thousands vehicles a year (You can see the sales number), at least for the last 10 years before it was stopped. I think it might because LC is always very pricy in places people wouldn't be able to appreciate from the spec. So instead of spending $85K...
I have talked to three dealers in Bay Area so far. It is interested that not not a single dealer have seen First Edition so far, while in the same time they have good amount of LC and 1958 in their lot unsold. I do noticed that all the dealer try to upgrade their car to be as close to First...
Traditionally even hard core machine like LX500/600 owners of these cars still wouldn’t offroad with their babies. That is just the kind of consumers Lexus connects to. People buying these car fantasizing these wild experience crawling rocks and sands when in real life a small scratches on their...
