I am thinking about changing the color of the bumper to a more prominent color.
I do not think the plastics on the exterior can bond with any wrapping. Painting it manually feels cheap and messy.
What is your suggestion if I want to change the color of these plastics, including the one on the...
My true reason for FE is kinda silly… I really don’t like the LC headlight. No legendary offroad SUV has these kind of light. Bronco, Wrangler, G-Wagon all uses round light. LC makes me feel that I am driving a 4Runner. Nothing wrong with it I just really want a more Heritage look. That’s why I...
FE is simply LC trim with rock slider, skid plate, and roof rack, and different headlights. I estimated before that if you get a LC trim, you can use the money to upgrade all these components with more personalized (and better) components of everything you get with FE. The resale value would not...
For time being my plan is to use a small lithium power station as a staging source for the camera and LTE connection (DC to USB-C), while I am thinking for a more permanent solution.
I want to hide the wire as much as possible, so for time being I don't want to put it directly on glass. The...
Just curious.... if you don't want the stock slider why did you order FE? LC trim is a lot cheaper and you can use the saved money to buy this slider instead
I am about to install exactly the same settings on mine. I guess it will be as painful as I expected.
BTW how did you mount your rear camera? I am still undermined for the best location
I saw many people sell some sort of "windshield protection film". Has anybody try that? Kind of hard to imagine that a thin layer of elastic film to absorb much energy getting transferred to the glass...
I was reading that thread, sorry to see it happening. I do think the guy have a cool design at least in his rendering. Not sure he would choose to scam people rather than actually go through it and actually make the steps.
I think it's just a matter of time some quality step will come out. If...
It makes me feel bad that there are already this much people need to replace their windshields. LC is still very new and very few people is driving it right now, maybe only a few thousands in US.
There are different types of knock-offs from China. Some are made with very good quality, some are totally trash. You need to do a little homework before buying.
Ideally I think fitting a loose mesh net to the grill would be enough. Too dense it might get in the way of air flow too. Frame is...
Bugs are not the reason I want to install this thing, I am more thinking about small rocks punching through the radiator and cause the leak. The gap in this grill is pretty big for the rocks to go through
I am considering this one from eBay: 3p For 2024-2025 Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Front Grille Mesh Anti-Insect Net. What do you guys think about adding a mesh net to your grill ?
Isn’t transparent film works better there? The stainless steel look feels nice, why blocks it? Plus if you use transparent film you don’t even have to cut in the middle
Does anybody feel the new hood curves are annoying in a way that if you are driving towards the source of light it is a lot easier for these light to bounce off into drivers' eyes? I feel the traditional hood curves didn't have nearly as much reflection as the new design. I wonder if there is a...
For you guys who installed aftermarket rear dashcam, what is your choice of mounting location and ways to hide wires?
I have never done any work to install rear dashcam. Usually Toyota's car has a rubber covered passage to allow wiring from rear hatch / door to the body, which is the most ideal...
It doesn't feel like a film given the thickness. The body also sounds different when I knock it here comparing to area around it. What I am the most curious is why it doesn't come with other First Edition which also have rock slider.
I’ve noticed on my new LC FE that right in front of the rear wheel there are this metal patch on both side. It seems that it is thicker with the patch, but not sure why Toyota has to fortify the body in this area, almost feels like it is the weakness of the LC body here. Anybody noticed this on...
Has anybody tried any aftermarket steps that is mounted on the stock rock sliders on FE? I wonder is there any good recommendations and real world user experience?
I was secretly hoping that somebody can make an organizer fitting into 2nd row center floor that can turn it into an organizer and mini-lounge for the passenger at the cost of losing one passenger capacity. In my opinion that is where the cooler needs to go in the first place, not driver central...
If you go with pickup either Tacoma or Tundra this wouldn't be an issue. The only downside is after you put these full featured canopy/camper insert you would feel driving a big pickup not agile SUV anymore
I would want to see somebody practicing his/her climbing skills to ascend from that step to the roof rack. Definitely doable and even more so fun to watch
