I saw on Facebook there is also a case almost identical to OP’s story. An American visitor driving his shining beloved GX550 and park in a hotel at Mississauga ON and the car is just gone overnight. Really feel sorry for you.
A part of it is a Canadian issue. The car theft is so bad that even a...
ARB always market their bumper to be airbag-compatible. Perhaps it’s the reason??? My understanding is an improperly designed bumper could compromise the airbag to function correctly. I only hope there could be some certification standard for all these third party.
I checked the imagine again and still couldn’t tell why that matters this much? The size the pattern doesn’t seem to be exaggerated. WARN put their logo on the entire winch on my front bumper and this is not nearly as bad.
To be honest I just need some user experience. I like the integration...
Not quite sure what you meant. Their product doesn’t seem to have too much branding? With all the product I used before they all have more or less logo somewhere. The ARB bumper on my another car has it. GOBI never feels shy to put a big logo on their ladder and roof rack. WARN will make sure...
Has anybody had previous experience with them? I saw their work on the website and it looks damn fine looking. It is the minimalist of aftermarket bumpers. I hope their quality and service are good.
I find the part number 08162-60060 from Google, but I couldn't find it in US Toyota part site. How come some people had their car came with it and some don't? It's weird.
This was also discussed in JDM Toyota Rain Visors
These insertion type of deflector gets in the way when the motor push the glass up. Last time I installed them they messed up my window particularly in cold days. I would much prefer the adhesive ones, particularly LC has a nice flat surface outside the window for the adhesive to bond properly...
LX700 wasn’t a surprised at all. But I wasn’t interested to this car, hybrid or not. My reasons are:
1. Too expensive
The base price is already close to $100K. It you want to get higher trim you can expect at least $120-130K. This is out of my budget. Plus it looks like the car is not much...
I currently had both a 40-inch roof LED bar and two round LED light mounted on my front bumper. The experience I had was the roof light something feels less effective than mounting them on the front of the car. But your setting is a little bit different so maybe that changes the equation?
Just curious which one of your light is more effective? I was thinking about the roof rack front light but it is too much in the back so not sure if it can cover well for the road
If you still want backup camera you can install a temporary one, even wirelessly, on the tire mount. I don’t think it’s a big deal. People offroad all these time just fine without any camera at all. You will survive without it.
Though personally I wouldn’t be ok to permanently block the backup...
The way I love about this setting is that the tire mount can be part time only. You only do that when going offroad, which for most people is a small fraction for their use of the car. So for that I even think blocking backup camera is totally acceptable. Who needs it when going offroad?
Beyond...
I am wondering, if I connect a spare battery to the 12V DC plug on second row, will it charge the 12V battery? I would love to extend the ACC mode for longer.
You can compare with the LC sold overseas to get that number, I would guess it would be similar to other vehicles at the same class.
I would love to see other owner to do a long term experiment on using regular gas, though I don’t want to do it myself. Using the car within the recommendation of...
Does anyone feel it is annoying that these climate control buttons are not illuminated? Everytime I drive the car in the dark I have to guess which one goes where. I started to think that maybe to installed some ambient lighting around the AC so I don’t have to guess which buttons is where.
BTW...
hybrid are not created the same. For most drivers’ understand of how hybrid works, you might as well treated it as a non-hybrid power trained. Toyota did’t put the battery in the car so it can drive like a Prius.
I start to think the best platform is for somebody to create these PVC or wooden compartments raising about two inches, and reuse the original cover. So people can have useful enlarged storage under. This is minimally invasive and keep the original design improved. To be honest I think Toyota...
I agree, but not everything is next to buttons. Plus vinyl is general not working too well neither with curves surfaces. (the type you get on Amazon is likely not last for heat and UV too). It’s a choice between pros and cons
Amazon has a lot of covers for essentially all plastic part of cabin in carbon fiber print. You might also check out these. I would buy it if it is not carbon fiber but more natural texture like dark wood.
I think the even worse thing to happen going forward is that when insurance company realize how easy the windshield breaks, they are going to raise our already very high premium in order to cover it.
That is exactly where my confusion is. It seems from the manual that Toyota did record images/video on the car, but there seems no way I can collect it as owner.
BTW "Driver Monitoring Camera" usually means the one that is facing you. On Land Cruiser that camera located on your driving wheels...
I saw this "DMC Recording" in my LC settings. However it looks quite cryptic as I couldn't find anywhere that allows me to download the "recording" from my LC. Anybody knows that this is actually a "recording" and file is stored somewhere in the car, or by "recording" Toyota simply meant turn...
