Nice. I removed that piece as well on my 58. I wanted to make the hatch openable from the inside. Have you figured out how to do that yet? I was hoping to make something like a switch or something that I could open the hatch from the inside when I'm camping.

That's correct for where the rear seats used to be. However, the front platform that touches the tailgate is what I'm referring to. The OEM storage compartments (on the front portion ) are gone with their system.

I don't know about common practice but I do know my other vehicles. If I run them dry they get filled up with the exact number of gallons that the manual states it holds. Whereas the LC it seems like it does not happen this way.

You could just reach out to them. They're very responsive. Initially I was considering them. However, because of the deletion of the storage next to the tailgate, I stopped considering it.
