    Black Lug Nuts

Can anyone confirm if Part # PT076-60200-02 are the correct black lug nuts for the Land Cruiser? Thank you!

Huh interesting, thank you! I never would’ve thought that.

    Heated Glass?

I have a 1958 and as I was cleaning my windows I just noticed that it only has heated glass on the drivers side window in the cargo area. The passenger side cargo window is devoid of heating elements. Do others have heating elements on both sides or just the drivers side? Seems pretty strange it...

    Tire Pressure?

when they ship them they way over inflate them because of strapping them down - compress the suspension instead of the tires. The dealer never lowered the pressure.

Suggestion: Complete a break-in oil change on your new Land Cruiser

I changed mine at 1200 miles and it was the worse looking oil I’ve had in a new vehicle (5). It was very dark, it looked like glitter, it had larger metal shavings, it looked contaminated with water or gas, and it smelled like gasoline.

    Hatch height adjustment on 1958

Pretty sure there is no way to adjust it. I’d actually like to slightly lower my hatch on the 1958 because it comes in contact with my garage door if it is open. But there’s no way to do so.

    So far, so good

People seem to be getting a lot of wind noise from the roof racks, the first edition rack particularly seems to be really bad, but even the OEM crossbars on the roof rails I’ve seen people complaining about the amount of wind noise. If you take the rack or crossbars off, depending what you have...

    Hybrid "Hump Feeling" while Breaking

My understanding is that it regenerates and hence breaks by turning the electric motor. It definitely has pronounced down shifts too that I think are part of this regeneration process. I also believe it is inconsistent and depends on the computers variables, such as how hard the breaks are...

    updated center caps stock wheels

Anyone put these on 1958 wheels? Thinking about doing it but hoping to see someone that has done it first.

    The hybrid that can't...

Mine looked completely clear and clean on the dip stick too. When I drained it at 1200 miles that told a totally different story, as I stated in an earlier post. Dark, full of metal flakes like glitter, and really concerning larger metal shavings too. Also smelled like gasoline and had visible...

    So far, so good

Curious when are you hearing noise and do you have a roof rack? The first 700 miles I was really impressed with how quite it is inside, only short highway trips up to 75 MPH and could notice a little wind noise from the mirrors north of 65 MPH, but not a big deal. I do not have a rack. I just...

    The hybrid that can't...

Just did break in oil change at 1200 miles. Not looking too good. The 4 new vehicles I have had all had visible metal shavings in the oil at 1000 miles that looked like glitter, so that is normal to me. But this was far worse, there were larger pieces of metal, the oil was dark, and contaminated...

    The hybrid that can't...

I heard it on a review "Toyota said nothing smaller than 18" wheels will fit because of the regenerative front breaks." Guess they were wrong then. And we know 17" wheels fit.

    The hybrid that can't...

This and it is also downshifting when stopping - it is engine breaking into the electric motor: regeneration. The LC has regeneration built into the transmission and electric motor where it turns the motor backwards through the transmission.

    The hybrid that can't...

Plenty of warranty left and time in the year since purchase. If there is a problem it will result in performance problems or engine failure. I’d prefer no one touch mine at a dealership unless I’m experiencing mechanical performance problems. So I’m going to drive on and enjoy it, if there’s a...

    The hybrid that can't...

My ‘20 Tacoma oil looked liked glitter at 1,000 miles and the filter was full of metal shavings. ‘23 Integra at 1,000 miles looked like glitter too. Both had visible metal shavings at 5,000 miles too. So to me, that’s normal. Just did 15,000 mile manual transmission fluid in Integra and it...

    The hybrid that can't...

That is what I’m thinking and hoping as well, as mine clearly makes the same sound. It is either normal and nothing wrong or a mass scale issue that is going to result in a widespread recall like the Tundra. I just can’t imagine that Toyota Japan would mess this engine up, especially at this...

    The hybrid that can't...

What did the dealership say regarding the other ones on their lot? If all of them are making this noise, does it appear to be a universal bearing problem in cylinder one? Mine is making the same noise as this too. You’re just getting your money back and going with something else?

These computers are pretty inaccurate estimates of actual economy. The way you did it is the only way to get real numbers.

    GX550 or LC

Congratulations! One thing I will say, I haven't drove a GX, but tires make a huge difference. It was night and day when I upgraded the tires on my LC in how well it soaked everything up versus the stock tires. Given the GX OT has the custom Toyo Open Country AT I imagine that makes a huge...

    Real World mpg

What I am seeing is if you have a heavy foot or in a lot of stop and go traffic, it burns the fuel: 18-19 MPG or worse. If you drive light footed (no/minimal boost) and not a lot of stop and go then 22-23 MPG is normal. And if you hyper mile it, feather the gas to pull away in electric and allow...

If you drive light footed (no/minimal boost) and not a lot of stop and go then 22-23 MPG is normal. And if you hyper mile it, feather the gas to allow for the engine to shut off while...

    300 mile road trip summary

Did it have a roof rack? My 1958 is extremely quite, over 65 I can hear a little bit of wind noise from the mirrors, but it is unnoticeable if I’m listening to music or a podcast.

    GX550 or LC

Nothing about this set up struggles, it is awesome. It is more than enough power to pass on steep grades like nothing and accelerating on ramps and passing normally is nothing for it. It towed up Ike gauntlet like nothing at all with a 5,000 lb. load and two big guys and a cameraman, probably...

    The hybrid that can't...

At least what I heard, and I presume OP too, is it sounds like the engine without a muffler and the lack of back pressure. This is different from the coarseness of the engine always present at startup and the port injector noises. I only heard this 3 times though so far when it cooled off to...
