Even though many, if not most , of the LC's are equipped with the 20" wheels, you can find them with 18". Mine came with the 18" in Trail Dust. I paid about $65K. I did replace the tires with KO3's.
If the LC250 had everything on your list, it would make you happy and a bunch of other owners mad. All vehicles have trade-offs. If you want a Defender, make sure you are never more than 50 miles from a dealer and have AAA towing.
20" wheels are not part of the Premium Package. They are a $1200 stand alone option. If you mostly drive highways, they are fine. Off road, the bigger 18" sidewalls are a better bet.
Boy, you are unhappy. It takes more than 10 extra miles on the odometer to upset me. 20" wheels are an option. Most of us prefer the 18". It is full time 4WD. It also has a 4WD low. Look closely at your shift area. If your wife was too close to the LC and it was running, the collision safety...
The great thing is, we all have choices to meet our driving needs. If you love German car smoothness, the LC is probably not for you. I live on 8 miles of dirt roads at 7800' elevation. This is my 4th LC, and it is just what I want/need. But I recognize that many drivers are going to spend most...
I did not swap the spare. I thought about it, but in the end decided it wasn't worth it. The size difference is not that great, and certainly less so than the small spares that come with most new cars. Talked to two different installers, and both agreed that for short distances there is no harm...
If you have Trail Dust or Heritage Blue, it comes with the Grayscape roof. You pay $350 for the special color, which includes the roof. It will show up on your window sticker as Two Tone Roof, and on your spec sheet as Special Color.
Nothing is "wrong" with the Michelins, but they are at the low end ($171 @ Discount Tire). They are really a highway tread vs an AT tire. If you are primarily a pavement driver, with little or no off road or snow, they are OK. However, if you do any off road or deal with extreme weather, you can...
I also had a Trail Dust mid reserved with Gregory Spencer, McDonald Toyota in Greeley CO. This one came available out of the blue, so I grabbed it. When I cancelled my other reservation, Greg told me it had cleared the QC hold, and should be in Greeley soon. It has the Premium package, but still...
