Picked up 6 OEM oil filters at Olathe Toyota the other day for around $28 with taxes. I usually run Mobile 1 oil filters and synthetic oil on all my vehicles but I think I'll switch to Toyota OEM for the filters to help document the service intervals I plan to run at this price. No brainer from...
Just changed the oil at 1000 miles. Very few specs of silver and the oil looked good coming out. Propped my oil drain pan up so it wouldn’t splash out so thank you to those of you who warned us first timers about that 😂. 🙏👍🏻
Added a Fumoto valve so next time should be even easier. This vehicle...
See below. I like @EOD Guy 's procedure since he does it in reverse and it may help. Curious if you have tried this yet:
X2 on bedding in the brakes...... manual tells you to avoid making sudden stops for the first 200 miles. Not a good idea to press the accelerator and the brake at the same...
$360 so no different than if you purchased it on your own. It was just included in the initial allocation. I actually decided to keep it even though they were going to drop it if I wanted to. I like the functionality of the remote start and locking feature with climate control. Works great so...
I've noticed a pretty decent thump in the transmission first thing when backing out of our driveway and turning up the hill to leave. A bit concerning as it's very noticeable. Just had the first break squeal this morning as well when backing out. It's very loud. 670 miles on the ODO.
FYI I just ordered the EVO off the Carista website. Found a discount code for 30% off: SFDCARISTA
The rear seat belt alarm when dropping kids off at school is enough to drive you crazy!
I ordered this Griots Garage polisher kit prior to my LC arriving. G8 & G9 Ceramic Kit
When I got my LC home from the dealer I noticed scuffs on the hood in the clear coat where the protective white transportation film had been. I was annoyed and thought about calling the dealer but they are 2...
It was to get them to fit properly. The way they shipped, one of them wouldn’t fit on the right side. Once pointed down, they fit. You can see them through the front grill so having them symmetrical was important to me as well.
If you have an impact drill, use a socket to knock it loose. I had the same issue and the impact drill loosened it right away. I have my horns point down.
Quick anecdotal evidence after 250 miles with a First Edition in the 8000 ish vin number. On the 150 mile drive home from the dealer mixed driving on highway and through town I averaged 19.9 mpg. Today running a few errands around town I'm seeing average trips in the 22mpg range. The trick I'm...
I'll get a picture taken this evening of the other side of the second knob. I lightly glued the other one in place last night so I can remove it in the future if I decide to try something different. It's the same shape as the back of the stock knob so it fits onto the semicircle post. It just...
I can confirm the knob fits but it does not snap into place. I’m going to put a little glue to hold it in place since I like how it looks. if you don’t want to do that, I would hold off to see if they make one specifically for the Land Cruiser
Got the call today I can pick up my vehicle on Monday. I'll post a picture once it's installed so you can see if you like the way it looks. Happy to sell you the other one in the set if you decide you like it at cost plus shipping. Shouldn't be expensive to mail since they are lightweight. I can...
Still waiting on the call from my dealer that it’s arrived. It’s been sitting at the rail yard. Seems like it’s been catching every delay imaginable…
It will fit. Same as the tactical one above.
I bought a pair and they arrived yesterday. Should finally pick up my LC this week and I’ll let you know if someone doesn’t answer before then. They are good quality and should fit since the RAV4 volume knob fits
Similar issues with Tundras over the past few years. Toyota strings them along telling them they are aware of the issue but nothing usually happens unless people get legal involved or really push the issue. Some people report having rotors and brake pads replaced fixes the squeak. Curious to...
You can watch Edmunds clip of the braking and fishtailing a bit in this clip if you haven't seen it. Should start playing right before the braking. If not, it's around the 15:55 second mark.
