My own answers to the question "what tire will you get?"
For the stock 18" wheel, if I can get that, right now I'm thinking Duratrac RT's or Nokian Outpost nAT's in stock 265/70R18 size and standard load just to keep the weight down. If there was a good light C load option in 275/70R18 I would...
I see people hunting for this spreadsheet, maybe it should have a post of its own. (But also please see/search the Tire Upgrade thread!)
I started compiling info on tire options while waiting for a Land Cruiser, shared the spreadsheet, and people say it's helpful. So here you go. This...
I put together a comparison table of what we know so far when the 2025 4Runner was announced and I was trying to decide between the LC and 4R (comparing both to my 2014 FJ TTUE MT). Might be out of date now if Toyota has released any ore info on the 4Runner: Land Cruiser Comparison Table
If...
Ok, I feel bad because I don't remember who posted this, but somewhere on this forum someone posted a bunch of installation instruction PDFs including this one for the skid plates.
Diagram of the LC's transmission cooler from elsewhere on this forum attached below.
I've heard lots of complains of the Tacoma transmission running hot just driving around. So far I've only hear that for the Land Cruiser when it's towing. It should be easy to add an additional cooler with...
Yeah, multiple variables on the two runs. Driver/speed, octane, wind direction? I think his overall point was that same vehicle same distance you can end up at 19 or at 23 MPG. I don't think he was trying to make much more of a point than that.
While I wait for my Land Cruiser I've compiled a spreadsheet of tire options linked in the signature area below. Edit to add: I started with mostly off-road 3 peak winter capable all terrain tires, although I've added a few lighter duty ones now. Since you're in Colorado you probably want the...
My short answer would be to get couple Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2's (for front and back).
Longer answer: the electronics for almost all dash cams are made by the same manufacturer, so only the sensor and optics vary, and none of them are great. I've always had good luck with Garmin and their app...
I ran into the same issue -- it's not in Toyota's web parts system. If you google it, it shows up on lots of dealership sites that must be using a different backend for their parts pages.
I also passed on a Land Cruiser because it had this. This camera was clearly deigned for cars with a sloped windshield -- it's probably the same dash cam option for a Crown or Camry or Prius. Whoever decided to make it an option on this upright windshield just wasn't thinking.
Greenlane has a listing for their Land Cruiser skid plates now: LANDCRUISER FULL ENGINE SKID PLATE $975 Canadian for engine plus transmission.
The last time I checked the Toyota skid plate prices, lots of dealers had them at 20% or more off (I think my local dealer had them almost 30% off).
Which one or is that an option? Also, will there be an option to buy w/o and put something else in there? I've found it really nice to have DOT approved driving lights. (Local PD likes to write tickets for non-DOT approved lights that aren't covered.)
If it's the first edition rack, somewhere I saw anchor bolts you can install in the slots in the bars. Something like the attached image. I can't find it now . . . could be somewhere on this forum?
I've been curious if there is a hybrid gauge -- can anyone provide a picture? Seems like Toyota is going for something slightly different in this hybrid implementation and I'll probably need help figuring out how to drive this thing.
