Glad to hear of your favorable experience re the drivetrain, msenske. That was my biggest concern from his review. Besides, am personally looking forward to a more truck-like vehicle, as coming from a 4Runner to our Highlander, the soft ride, and resulting imprecise handling at highway speeds...
Some very valid points to look for when we receive our 2025 LC/LC. However, did he get thrown out of the Toyota insider club? If not, it may be forthcoming.
With the upcoming 2025 4Runner, I do not foresee a TRD Land Cruiser.
Agreed re the obnoxious badging everywhere. Yuk!
Keep the LC conservative for us mature folks. Just a serious "sleeper" off-roading machine.
Welcome to the forum! Here may be your dilemma. The 2025's have been announced, to be arriving at dealers later this month. No changes of note it seems, except better tailgate area lighting. However, will yours be a 2024, or 2025?
Don't see it yet on the vehicles, but the press release is out. Essentially zero changes from what I can gather. A bit more lighting on the tailgate, and a new color combo. Would have loved to see some options/model focused on off-roading, better tires at a minimum. It appears Toyota is being...
Disappointing how few improvements for a new year. I think all governed to not take away from the new 4Runner, which has a much broader offering. If only we had a close Lexus dealer, a GX would be my choice.
Welcome CDA, and you reside in my birth city. Well actually greater LA, i.e. South Gate, and in the 1940's was a great area. In any case, congrats on your new LC! Still awaiting ours, and now I see a post where the 2025's have been announced. Hmmm.
Sounds like it might be excessive for the A/C, but possibly, and on both sides of the vehicle? You mentioned no rain, but possibly condensation? If your LC has one, I believe the sunroof has drains on both sides?
Welcome Rachel, and congratulations re the new LC! For sure, out west here we have somewhat free reign, but even that is shrinking, primarily due to the folks who abuse the privilege.
Welcome treadmark! For sure, if you are seeking reliability among comparable vehicles, Toyota should be your choice. Have also considered the GX, as certain mechanical aspects of the GX are tempting. Did you notice the GX Overtrail does not employ triple-zone HVAC? Yep, no rear controls or...
Welcome. Your break-in routine sound good to me. Additionally, don't push it too had for the first 500 miles or so, and as you say, varied speeds, letting off the accelerator periodically to flex the piston rings the opposite direction.
