This may be our situation also. I am a bit leery regarding using a pulse/maintainer/desulphator charger with all the electronics, but probably without cause.
Welcome to thew forum lcman! Question, why the reason for a battery charger? Do you anticipate long periods of no use? However, this said, with the use of a maintainer/pulse battery charger the battery on our 2005 4Runner was still going strong after 15 years when we sold it (a mistake!)
Model year changes are typically not publicized, unless an actual feature. An example would be module firmware. Some owners have been reporting squealing brakes, etc. Over on the sibling GX550 site some owners have encountered a vibrating hood. Such things would be typically solved with the new...
Agreed, no issues on the '24 which come to mind, and no changes to mention in '25. However, you will own a year older vehicle, depending on how long you anticipate keeping it before selling or trading in.
Welcome to the forum! Question, will it be a 2024 or 2025 LC? I am sure you have noticed the 2025's have been announced, and one can build it on the Toyota website.
Welcome to the forum Cabinetman! I share your anxiety re the fuel range. What was Toyota thinking? In any case, have a 2025 LC in the queue, and presuming, unfortunately, the fuel capacity will be the same, regardless of the outcry from buyers/potential buyers.
Great video, and admittedly it appears substantial. Still, the stock spare is pulled VERY tightly against the frame, rendering it immune from vibration effects. I might be tempted if an auxiliary fuel tank could be mounted in place of the standard spare.
The 2025 4Runner is going to have SO many more trim levels than the LC. However, I think more focused on the younger (than me!) customer. Forward of the rear seat, the 4Runner interior is a carbon copy of the new Tacoma. Think back to when the 4Runner was born, a modified pickup.
Hmm, yep, you would a BIG hit, no matter how the dealer slices it. Consider going for a 2025 model, as one can already configure them on the Toyota website. I personally have done so, and have one (our first LC since 1990) in the queue. Sure, it might take a few months, but worth the wait for...
Welcome to the forum REMC! Not a great many diesel owners on this forum, but many of us wish we had that option, including myself. In any case, hopefully a diesel owner will respond soon...
It would be interesting to know how much MPG the hybrid adds, if any. Possibly the Tacoma provides the answer. 21/26 normally aspirated, and 23/24 for the i-FORCE MAX. So, essentially no economy gain for the hybrid/turbo, just performance, and considerable at that, but at a steep price penalty...
Welcome to the forum! Our last LC was an FJ62, which we enjoyed for many years, and now sorry to have sold it. In any case, we also have a 2025 on order, abandoning the quest for a 2024 with our desired options.
Welcome to the forum Cayce! You live in familiar territory. The wife was born/raised in Panguitch, and as soon as our LC arrives, we will be using it to attend our reunions in Widtsoe, and of course out & about here in SE Idaho.
Welcome kyakaddict! At your altitude I would wager your LC definitely outperforms the previous 4Runners! Right? We owned a 2005 V8 4Runner, and smoother than silk, but not exactly a powerhouse, especially at 8K'.
Sore subject lunkerbuster. Yep, still waiting. Hey, possibly a silver lining, as it now appears ours will be a 2025. No major changes were announced, or even minor to speak of, but not a bad thing to avoid the first year of any vehicle, even a Toyota.
To me it just appears where it was clamped against the vehicle frame. Hopefully not heat damaged... Question, is it a full-sized spare, i.e. not "Temporary Use Only" on the tire?
Unfortunately, I am in that box, as our local Toyota has had no LC's to test drive. They come in one door, and immediately out the other. All pre-sold. So, sadly, I am having to depend a lot on the YouTube reviews. Nearby dealers the same, except possibly a 1958 goes briefly unsold for a few days.
Hmmm. Keep in mind the 2025 Land Cruiser has been announced, so possibly the sources mentioned are in transition. BTW, welcome to the forum! Loved your city when there in the '60's for several instances with my employer at the time, IBM.
