Not that it really makes a huge difference, but Westcott actually replaces the bottom spring perch on the shock with a thicker one.
I have it on my '20 4Runner TRD Pro and no complaints. Made things slightly stiffer but they had claimed to measure and work within the capacity of the Fox...
Do they exist yet?? I havent seen any company release full suspension swaps yet..
On a previous vehicle with 5100s... you get what you pay for. Not super comfortable and nothing special in terms of the ride.. but do provide a cheap lift.
If Icon comes out with EXPs that is probably a better...
From previous wireless carplay/Android auto vehicles, they first search for that connection, and if its not there it goes on to the 2nd priority... I wouldnt assume it keeps searching for that first connection if it may never be present. Just assumes it isnt there and moves on.
Not sure many people on here will be actively looking to put smaller tires on the LC then what comes stock... the 275 is slightly wider, but smaller in diameter, sidewall and circumference. No reason at all why it wouldnt fit in the spare location.
Emailed Westcott and inquired on buying the front separate, so I could then add the OME 722 rear coils like they had in those demo LCs.
Not available yet, but are in the plans.. focusing on fulfilling current orders at the moment. Too bad, as I would have ordered on the spot to have them in...
I think the easiest option is a 3M rubber eraser bit in your drill..take a minute or two and no chemicals on the paint. Its what the dealers would use to remove decals etc.
My dealer hadn't received their FE yet, but had a 1968, LC and Premium arrive.
They also said the Premium deliveries will be hard to come by and regular LC trim will have more units produced. 24 total units allocated this year for a large dealer in Calgary.
You can add all of those pieces from the dealer for less than the cost of the initial upgrade, you just dont get the exclusivity.
Ideal package for me would be premium without hte coolbox and perhaps the 20" wheels. (Although they did look good in person)
Stopped by my dealer to take a look at the stock that arrived, they had a 1958, LC trim and LC Premium.
Initial thoughts: (Not able to test drive, as the 3 hadnt been PDI'd yet.. rolled off the truck yesterday.)
- 1958 was out immediately.. everything is hard plastic, cloth seats were not for...
Westcott actually adds a thicker bottom perch, so pushes the spring upwards. No spacer type lift are ideal, but they do get the job done cheaply. This is a better option that the full top hat kit.
On a 4Runner with a hood scoop, you get a blinding relfection at certain angles that goes directly in the drivers eyes. Ive heard others do it with roof mounted lights to cut down on glare as well.
Maybe related to the QC hold, but it looks like a lot of the deliveries in Ab have been 1958s. Red Deer got a white one, Wetaskawin got black, and Stampede in Calgary also got a black.
FWIW, I was told Stampede got 2 in already, with another 2 scheduled shortly. Unfortunately no timeline given...
Canadian Dealers playing games..

Here is a link to the fitment of another 17" wheel.. offset doesn't work but clearance looks ok with the limited angle
https://www.landcruiserforum.com/threads/2024-land-cruiser-smallest-wheel.217/post-10067
Is that clearance from the caliper to the wheel face or wheel barrel?
I'd assume face... Which isn't nearly as big of a deal as it would be if it were barrel.
FWIW, going to an 18" wheel isn't going to change the face clearance... Only the barrel.
It's the wheel spoke design that will...
Got an email from my salesm contact, nothing in the pipeline as far as they have heard, and mentioned they are still trying to get all the Tacoma orders sorted out. They aren't the manager, so not sure if they have a great line of communication or not. I was hoping for some sort of update...
Thats my hesitation as well, dont mind them and the price is right, but with them being considered the 'perfect offset' the popularity is certainly rising. There should be more releases with better offsets shortly...
Not much out there yet, best bet is to look at the wheel post and look at various offsets and the look you are going for.
According to Westcott, the 'sweet spot' is around +35.. but not a ton of wheels in that offset. Id say 40-20 is reasonable.. bt the 20 does poke out.
Problem with the SCS Gen5's is the available offsets... -10mm and -38mm are not a fit for the LC, unless you want the wheels poking out the fenders a few inches. (like 3-4+!)
I assume most manufacturers will be producing updated models to fit the new LC/4Runner/Tacoma. Where 0et was common and...
If you look up the spring/coil install without a compressor on youtube, its actually very easy to do on your driveway with fairly basic tools. I did the Westcott collar on my 4Runner like this without issue.
Something like this.
100% need an alignment though!
